I once worked at a well known privately owned company with a reclusive CEO who would spend each day in his soundproof office, right there among us, and watch us on CCTV while we never saw him come or go.

It was really weird.

Even weirder, I began to see myself as Dorothy, my shrill female boss as the wicked witch, my chubby co-worker as the lion, my gangly, goofy coworker as the scarecrow and the only other person on my team .... a really buttoned up type, as the tin man.

Life imitating a work of art that most certainly imitates life.
