Copahue Volcano just erupted...

yeah....having watched quake maps for a couple years and waited for the ring to really wake up...i gotta say this morning and last night i have been impressed.

so many quakes in unusual places....ya know? put info out and no one responded. starting to wonder if there is anyone left who is really watching what is going on.

he's 200 miles away. safe from anything bar a mega eruption, and if that was to happen you may as well go out and welcome the hot cloud with open arms.

In 1980 I was a 13 year old kid when Mt. St.Helens blew, it woke us up, scared the shit out of us. We went outside and it looked like a nuke had been dropped. Crazy experience, that I don't really care to see or hear again for sure.

Copahue volcano began an eruption process this morning in Neuquen province and prompting the Chilean Emergency network to issue a yellow alert. Despite the volcano is in constant activity, a large cloud of ashes spweed by Copahue this morning alarmed locals and authorities. First reports indicated that a rutinary emergency operation in the localities of Copahue and Caviahue, which are close the volcano. Nevertheless, the possibility of evacuating locals was dismissed.

ash is actually EXTREMELY fertile stuff

within a few weeks of the end of the E15 eruption in Iceland, farmers living under the volcano were given a bumper harvest, and the stuff just keeps on growing, lush and long

it does not take long for mother nature to get going, and boy does she enjoy being dumped on!

Sheet's always happening. Now, with satelite and other mass communications it's possible to know what's going on all over the planet, in minutes. There's lots of little bird droppings going on all the time. Sometimes a little glob of sheet hits the fan and seems pretty traumatic. Sooner or later sheet will hit the fan bigtime and everyone will know it almost immediately and there may be billions of casualties.
