Yeah... I wasn't really expecting "doom" as one of the more probable outcomes, but I was expecting "something" (anything???) to happen.

I held on to the premise that certain events could take a couple of days to fully manifest. It's midday on December 23rd now. Delusions dispelled.

Currently guns, chocolate, and liquor are stocked; food is stocked; debts are all paid...

If one bright side had to be found through all of this, I would have to say that the changes I made in preperation for "the changes" have greatly improved my life. When something unexpected happens without a schedule in play to force perperation, I'll be ready.

Huh. I guess it really is a new world for me! :) Now all I have to do is get my retirement plan in order and I'm all set.
