I have seen a few things that seemed really important lately. I believe that the earth appears to be losing it's magnetic field. The problem with reading stuff on the Internet is that it's difficult to seperate the truth from the made up crap.

Having said that, take a look at this video by Nova and PBS. You can view it on You Tube. [link to youtu.be] and I am aware that it is mentioned here on this site already, but have you considered this?

The video talks about how the earth is losing its magnetic field, which is its protective shield in space.

There's a region of our planet that no human being has ever visited. No one has ever seen this place, yet what happens here affects every one of us every day of our lives. It's 2,000 miles beneath our feet, the Earth's molten core. Here a vast ocean of liquid iron generates an invisible force, the Earth's magnetic field. It's what makes our compasses point north. But it does a lot more: it helps to keep the Earth a living planet. Our neighbors, Venus and Mars, have only weak magnetic fields, which means they're unprotected from the deadly radiation sweeping through the solar system. The Earth, on the other hand, exists within a vast magnetic cocoon, a force-field that for billions of years has sheltered us on our journey through space.

But now scientists have made a startling discovery. It seems there's a storm brewing deep within the Earth, a storm that is weakening our vital magnetic shield.

Here are just a few quotes from highly acredited professionals who were interviewed in the documentary.

PETER OLSON (Johns Hopkins University): The Earth's magnetic field has been our protector for millennia, and now, it appears, it's about to go away.

JOHN SHAW (University of Liverpool): The Earth's magnet field is getting weaker rapidly.

MARIO ACUNA (NASA Goddard Space Flight Center): We cannot guarantee that the magnetic field of the Earth is still going to be there a thousand years from today.

What would this mean to us? We would become more of a target for asteroids, meteorites, etc. We would see an increase of earthquakes, volcanoes, storms, floods, droughts, and high tides.

If this is the source of these events, then it would be just a matter of time until we got hit by something catastrophic, wouldn't it?

Forget meteors and asteroids, think smaller like radiation and UV. The magnetic shield protects all living things exposed to direct sunlight from excess solar radiation.

No magnetic shield, land based life gets fried for most part. Game over for most of us.

Yes, and those things too. I am sure there is much more to this than I have thought of, but it does seem to be something that could cause much of what we are seeing I think.

And the Bible says all things will be known to us. I think that most attribute this to the Internet, but I see this tonight and it made me think of that too. [link to news.yahoo.com]

That and the sun is not behaving at all as it should during this current cycle. Change has also been noted on every planet but 1, it's not just Earth and the Sun.
 Quoting: Da fuq

How should the sun be behaving?
How IS it behaving?
And, please back up both claims with evidence.
