I'll try to keep this simple.
A first world 3rd gen nation-state military (U.S/U.K) against a third world 2nd gen military (Iraq).
Of course the result is foregone.
Notice that this has nothing to do with whether civilians were armed.
Believe it or not in the U.W. phase that followed the U.S. and allies were defeated. Just as the British were in the 1930s.
None of the strategic objectives were met or will be met. This equals defeat.
I understand that your country is heavily propagandized against private fire arms. That is fine. Just keep yourself and your opinions of the 2nd amendment on your side of the pond.
