Disabling is not a safety measure. They can turn your phone on when it's off, and when they connect to your computer they can load a virtual driver and use your hardware without installing anything. BSD operating system can do the same thing, you can run it without installing it. The only safety measure is knowing how electronics work, and uncle says ;) "Never trust electronics".
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 24554510 Turning on or off my cell phone will not allow a connection to my computer. They are not connected in any form. I refuse to allow a connection. My computer is not connected to a wireless access, is only connected through a DSL line. However, I always disconnect the DSL line when I power off the computer. I also refuse to connect my digitial camera to the computer with the face up, only with the face down, disconnecting it as soon as I am through downloading. Now my wife's computer you might be able to control that way, but I wouldn't advise it. Seeing her first thing in the morning has been know to cause severe spasms before turning to stone. If you don't turn to stone, you will wish you were to help you forget. Did I mention that I love my medication? Quoting: 071676 LOL
