My intuition says that they cloned Pharaohs already and that is why they are trying to keep the DNA results of Pharaohs from hitting Critical Mass at this current moment in time. Cloning is a sensitive topic. (because it deals with humans "playing god") And it will require some ingenuity to release it into the noosphere and have it be accepted into the mainstream.
