I agree with the other poster that doggies can sometimes be sensitive to bad angels hanging around. IMO do not be shy if you have any incling one is hanging around to send it back to the pit in Christs name. Even if in company of others a low firm voice is enough to get the job done so long as its audible for the shitbird to hear you.

Sometimes they are a little persistent and when they don't like to scoot immediately I'll back up and talk directly to our Father and sincerely repent for any and all sins in Christ's name since the last time I've repented. Then go back and send it home in Christs name.. Don't be shy even if you only suspect.

The verse the other poster mentioned I feel has to do with crafted idols in general and not specifically Christmas trees. As long as we don't let anything stand between us and our Father it's not an idol. Just don't worship the damn thing. People worship money and jobs more frequently than trees but take that for what its worth. Also consider our Father in his Work likens Himself to a grand fir tree and Satan attempts to copy but is just a plain old box ceder.

If your dog did actually pick up on a shitbird then that bad angel was probably just trying to play on your guilt for having put up a tree for the kids. Kick it's ass in Christ's name next time and don't be shy about it.
