He was asking God to complete the cross event rather than leave him alive on it, which God did as the breath of life left Him moments later.

Jesus was God in the flesh
 Quoting: Lisa*Lisa

... flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. 1 Corinthians 15:50

… who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God. John 1:13

Jesus answered, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. John 3:4

There is NO GOD IN FLESH, EVER.

Jesus was son of God. He did not pray to himself. He said why do you call me good. No one is good except my father in heaven. Read the bible because it will disagree with you. Truth and spirit not what our tickled ears want to hear.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 22741000

Jesus was not the "same as us". We are the seed of Adam. Jesus was the seed of God. HUGE DIFFERENCE THERE.

Jesus was God in the flesh, that does not mean He was the Father.

You speak of what you don't fully understand, and make assumptions about whom you're speaking with and what I believe and know.
 Quoting: Lisa*Lisa

Adam was not the seed of God created in his image? Jesus was a humble servant not God. You speak like a religious person not a person walking in truth and spirit. Jesus said I do all these things and you shall and GREATER.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 22741000

The first Adam was, yes. Jesus is the second Adam, created from the seed of God.

The human race is called "Seed of Adam" by God, this means corrupted race of humans. Jesus was born from the seed of God, not the seed of corrupted mankind.

Jesus was God in the flesh, He was not sinful, like you and me and every other person on this planet. He was perfect and without sin, that is why He was created without a human father, so He would be perfect. A perfect sacrifice was what was necessary to fulfill the scriptures.

Do you believe in the Bible? There are many verses which show that Jesus was God in the flesh, here is a site which lists alot of them. [link to www.jesus-is-savior.com]

I'm not religious honey, I don't belong to or attend any church. The Holy Spirit teaches me.

Jesus is our creator, all things were created for Him and by Him. You sound young, very young. Keep praying, keep reading, keep asking for truth and faith.

hugs
 Quoting: Lisa*Lisa

Ok sure he was embodiment of king of kings and I can see what you are saying but I think Jesus would not like to be called God. I mean the son is great and yeah he will deem us worthy or unworthy, but the true goal is God not Jesus.

That makes sense

I never get the whole Jesus died for our sins bit

So basically I can go murder steal lie cheat and do every evil under the sun

Then repent pray for forgiveness and all is well

Now that just doesn't ring true

I mean seriously

That's like pushing all boundaries of believability
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 30443981

You can't simple repent of sin with the lips. All sin means is missing the mark. Your relationship with God comes to you with truth and spirit. Now if you are in sin you have truth for a while then the demons will try and blind you slowly. The holy spirit will not be around long if you sin.

Jesus was the way shower. Look at me I did this and so can you. You can be saved as I am. Jesus is not God but the son of God same as us.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 22741000

The thing is I don't think we can be saved anymore
This world is way too evil to b saved and I doubt god is waiting around anymore to bother and has moved on

Even revelation 21 1 tells of a new heaven and earth
1 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more

So if there is a new heaven and a new earth then god has left this one
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 30443981

I kind of agree. There will be a remnant saved. New Jerusalem is on the New Earth not this one. God really is getting ready to take her down. It is worse than sodom gomorrah. If you are humble in heart and walk in truth and spirit you are already chosen to be a new earth inhabitant. God had shown me a vision of new earth and showed me I am elected to go even though back then I was an agnostic. It has nothing to do with religion.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 22741000

Yes, there are many who will be spared the wrath of God and the destruction of this world.

You must be humble, walk in truth and by the Holy Spirit yes, but part of that truth also includes Jesus as Lord and Savior. He is King and He is the redeemer of souls, He is the provision of forgiveness and the bridge to the Father in Heaven.

Does trial by fire sound like a saving tactic? Granted all the ones sent to the grave are also the ones building houses in the new earth verses of Isa:65 so the ride does smooth out after a few hard bumps. (not a great comfort but that isn't why God gave us the information)

Zec:13:8:
And it shall come to pass,
that in all the land,
saith the LORD,
two parts therein shall be cut off and die;
but the third shall be left therein.
Zec:13:9:
And I will bring the third part through the fire,
and will refine them as silver is refined,
and will try them as gold is tried:
they shall call on my name,
and I will hear them:
I will say,
It is my people:
and they shall say,
The LORD is my God.

Jer:25:32:
Thus saith the LORD of hosts,
Behold,
evil shall go forth from nation to nation,
and a great whirlwind shall be raised up from the coasts of the earth.
Jer:25:33:
And the slain of the LORD shall be at that day from one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth:
they shall not be lamented,
neither gathered,
nor buried;
they shall be dung upon the ground.

Isa:42:9:
Behold,
the former things are come to pass,
and new things do I declare:
before they spring forth I tell you of them.

Jer:4:28:
For this shall the earth mourn,
and the heavens above be black:
because I have spoken it,
I have purposed it,
and will not repent,
neither will I turn back from it.

I'm not questioning anyone's faith and you can believe whatever you choose, I'm completely fine with that.

But, I'm just curious as to why you believe in God/Jesus when there are historical facts that he/they are direct replicas of "gods" that came before them; for instance Horus out of the many?

There were many gods before God/Jesus that did exactly what they did, yet why is God/Jesus representative as the only "God"? The stories of God/Jesus are a reincarnation of those who came before them.

Again, I'm not bashing anyone or their believes. I'm truly looking into understanding and talking to those who truly believe for answers.

The kind of God that sticks to the schedule, all the ones that will be alive for the 1,000 years will reside in New Jerusalem as a static population. That is basically the whole of the 12 Tribes going back to Abraham's sons and a small portion of Gentiles (Church from 30AD and some OT Gentiles). The rest of the sons and daughters of Adam and Eve will live outside the city walls. In Isa:65 the Jerusalem mentioned is New Jerusalem and that is where the 'servants' will be and the ones numbered to the sword in that chapter are the ones that will build houses.

Most Christians believe the earth is around 6000 years old.

This is possible, but I think it's older then that. I think the human race is only 6000 years old, but the earth is older, that's just a theory tho.

I have been reading the bible and the only conclusion I can get from it is that from beginning to end it is dealing with the destruction f mankind and the wrath of god
I think we are the fallen angels it refers to
And we are the ones who are doomed
We start off as perfection in the eyes of god end up corrupted abandon god
Who in turn abandons us
We try to mimicking and copy god in our aims we are trying to clone things create life
We worship false idols everything from tv heros to sports men
We kill lie cheat
We cause huge suffering wars and destruction around the world
If there s a hell
We're in it
And when we die our souls are doomed there is no heaven for us no salvation nothing because we have been fooling ourselves with this whole live in sin and receive salvation garbage
Basically
We're screwed

I understand that. But if God has been around from the time of creation, why did people like Horus exist since he was before the time of creation?

Again, I am not arguing your faith, just curious.

So you're saying that the earth is only 2,012 years old?

LOL...........no silly. Where did you get that number?

Well, 2012 AD is where we are at. All dates prior to 2012 are preceded with B.C., which you know means "Before Christ". =D

Re: A question for Christians

Ahh, i didn't mean prior to 2012, I meant year 0. My fault.

But, I have to say, you are the only person I have discussed religion with that didn't get combative or insulting with me and I appreciate and commend you for that.

Because humans were created with free will, the ability and legal right to choose whether or not they will serve God or serve themselves and satan.

The number of humans to be born has not yet been completed, so we are still in this cycle. In the meantime He has provided a way out for those who follow Him, a way out of sin and the penalty for sin.

When Jesus returns, that will be the end of this cycle. Those who sided with Him will live and those who sided against Him will perish.

The time is almost up.

Because of satan and demon. If you ever do a fast for 3 or more day you will start to see that demons are real. They will manifest. Like for example I was having a terrible dream then woke up and right as I opened my eyes there was a 7 foot lizard thing standing right there and it quickly walked through the wall. I don't do any drugs. lol
