What happens if I smoke from my Sage smudge stick???
I have read in some websites that sometimes you can smoke sage and feel relaxed and even experience mild hallucinations in some cases. I have an almost new sage smudge stick and I want to smoke from it.

Have any of you some this before? What is your experience??

If you smudge with juniper inside of a closed space (like a tent) it's apparently good for receiving visions. I wouldn't smoke these things, though.

OP,

Look up the effects. I have smoked it more than once. It relaxed me a bit. Salvia apiana is the name for the white sage.

It depends on the species, but there are many sages that will relax you. One is Salvia sclarea I believe, if memory serves it has effects reminiscent of cannabis, though weaker of course; it also apparently helps with opioid withdrawal.

And of course the famous one is S. divinorum, I don't believe it grows wild in the USA or Canada.

This is legal in all of the US (and probably world), and you can smoke it. Also can make tea, or blend it in wine. It has some good effects...nothing compared to weed or salvia though.

I'll throw some sage from my bucket into a rolly paper, roll it up and there's a smudge stick. Lol, new agers make it so tacky sometimes.

Smoking sage will depress your vitals inducing relaxation. In large and i mean LARGE doses of tea one can experience many strange things.

Don't try this at home if you have a weak heart/lungs/liver.

Grows wild in SC...right along the highway, that's why it's still legal to buy there...how are they gonna outlaw something that grows alongside a highway? They're not, otherwise it would be as illegal as spice and weed.
