After taking a second look it DOES say some kids were in the closet. Confusing with regard to tototal number of kids. I suppose when the first article came out, mentioning six dead and seven survivors from Soto's class they just may have inadvertantly left out the six who apparently escaped.

"Investigators have decided not to formally interview the children, based on advice from Yale child psychologists."

Well, sure, good advice.

Here are the key passages from the original Courant article:
"Lanza next arrived at teacher Victoria Soto's classroom. Soto is believed to have hidden her 6- and 7-year old students in a classroom closet. When Lanza demanded to know where the children were, Soto tried to divert him to the other end of the school by saying that her students were in the auditorium.

But six of Soto's students tried to flee. Lanza shot them, Soto and another teacher who was in the room. Later, in their search for survivors, police found the remaining seven of Soto's students still hiding in the closet. They told the police what had happened. "

Now doesn't it make it sound like there were only 13 kids in Soto's class to start? There were only 14 in Rousseau's class according to reports. So according to this latest Courant article, Soto's class would have had to be at least 19 students in all: 6 killed, 6 escaped, and seven in the closet. Does it make sense that Sot's class would be 30% larger than Rousseau's?

Just to note, the first story about Sot's classroom was that they ALL survived, thanks to her.

Yep. I miscounted on the other thread. 19 in Soto's and 15 in Rousseau's (one of the kids survived according to the article).

But they haven't said where the special ed kids were. The special ed teacher was killed also.

Here's a UK Daily Mail article from 12/17 that also makes it sound like only 13 kids in Soto's class to start. But why wouldn't the shooter have killed the remaining seven in the closet, their hiding place having been discovered when the other kids ran out? Maybe that was the moment he killed himself???

The whole story is BS. It's useless trying to piece it together.

Any of those listed in a sequence is a sign as well. Just think for yourself a moment, you want to pull of an "event" what's the best way to make that happen? Quietly? Yeah most people would assume that!!! Heck no you throw in MASSIVE amounts of confusion and some truth, a little "coincidences" to make the already emotional person so confused that they will just give up! Well said. I am not ready to give up yet. What I'm trying to do is catch "them" in a lie about the survivors from Soto's class, because originally it was seven surviving, six dead.

A friend posted this picture of Vicki on her Tumblr page where she said she had talked to her on Tuesday "and she told me she loved her 16 angels and never wanted to let them go." She added: "Today when the shooting started Vicki hid her kids in closets and when the gunman came into her room she said the class was in gym. She was then murdered. Not one of her students were harmed. Words can not express how heartbreaking and tragic this is. I will miss you dearly."

The biggest lie in the story right now (aside from the story itself) is that Adam Lanza drove his mother's car to the school.

The police scanner clearly indicates that the most suspicious car at the scene was Rodia's.

The media have also reported that the car registered to Rodia's name (per scanner) was the shooters car. It has been photographed while it was toed away from the school. The black honda.

If this isn't addressed we have little hope in challenging this 'official story'.

No shit. Every time you turn around some nuance has been updated or corrected or changed.

Seriously. It's like smoking crack and then changing from being at war with Eurasia to East Asia as fast as a crackhead can go.

It's fucking ridiculous. They fucked this shit up so bad that their strategy is now to deliberately confuse and baffle anyone who tries to follow the actual crime itself with constantly changing details and ample contradictions.

Meanwhile...they make the political debate as clear and dumbed down as possible while they endlessly loop the pictures of all those kids and keep repeating 'high capacity magazines' over and over again.

There was an interview with a resident near the school who took in 6 children who said something along the lines of; our teacher, Ms. Soto was killed. The genteleman said he would never forget those words...... Who will ever know what actually happened that day?

That guy was not a gentleman, he was on every news network lying his ass off.

I'm beginning to feel like they are just playing with us. No-one can be this incompetent.

A few things I want to point out from the courant article (& some other issues which have been on my mind by haven't had time to rant about):

-Many sources initially reported that ALL of Ms Soto's students survived. Remember...she was a hero who died saving her students by hiding them in closets and cabinets and trying to divert the gunman to the gym? This article says 6 students tried to flee but were shot, and the "REMAINING" 7 students in her class were discovered later by authorities, still hiding in the cabinets. What about the six students who showed up at creepy Dr. Rosen's house, from Ms. Soto's class?

-Continuing on with the point above.....the shooter was found dead nearby the door to Ms Soto's classroom. This whole ordeal lasted only minutes, and it's reported that the shooter took his life when he heard the police sirens at the scene. So even if six ADDITIONAL students (not the six students shot, or the seven found later still hiding in the cabinets) did manage to flee from Ms Soto's class, and regardless if the shooter had shot himself by this point or not, HOW THE HECK WOULD THEY HAVE MANAGED TO GET OUT OF THE SCHOOL....past the shooter (if he was alive at this point, remember he shot himself near Soto's door), and if he had already shot himself, you could conclude that police were either at the scene, or VERY nearby because again....the shooter shot himself due to law enforcement arriving...so how would six kids manage to escape unnoticed by law enforcement and make their way to Dr. Rosen's house???

-Ms Soto's desk was decorated with drawings the kids made saying "I love my teacher Ms Soto", yet in another interview, a teacher who hid her kids in a closet stated that she told the kids she loved them although she knew it was very well against school policy. No relevancy to this, but wanted to bring it up to show more conflicting BS

-I believe it was widely reported that Nancy Lanza was shot FOUR times, not TWO as this article states....

**GOSH I WISH THERE COULD BE AT LEAST ONE DETAIL OF THIS STORY THAT STAYED SOMEWHAT CONSISTENT!!!!

ALSO-

-As we all know, it was initially reported that Ryan Lanza was the shooter because of the ID switch. But what I find interesting is that when they first reported Ryan as being the shooter, they reported he was 20 years old. (at least my local news did) I can't really confirm a source because I was following updates on my phone and wasn't paying much mind to any possibility of conspiracy at that moment, but I do know for sure that this was reported, 20 year old Ryan Lanza, because this prompted me to post a rant on facebook about how this is proof that even if gun laws were stricter, criminals don't obey laws because it's being reported that Ryan Lanza is 20 years old and CT law is 21 to possess a gun. Again, this isn't such a big ordeal, but I do find it odd that even if it was wrongfully reported to be Ryan Lanza at the scene due to the ID switch, wouldn't they report Ryan's age (being as though an ID would probably have a DOB) and then later it's revealed that oh after all it wasn't 20 year old Ryan who is actually 24, but it's his 20 year old younger brother Adam.

which brings me to my next point
-I can't find any good timeline of events for the day (and even if I could, I would probably find 25 other timelines with conflicting info) but what I am VERY curious about it what brought the police to Nancy Lanza's house in the first place, and at what time did police first arrive at Nancy's house and at what time did they find her body??? I first heard reports of the other shooting victim (originally, supposedly Peter Lanza in Hoboken NJ which as we know turned out to be false.) At this time it was still assumed that Ryan was the shooter, and not Adam. So it would seem logical that law enforcement would first visit Ryan's Hoboken residence (where no one was injured or shot), and I would think Peter Lanza's home would be next, or at least prior to Nancy's. But Peter didn't even know what was unfolding until he came home and media was there waiting to question him. So the media went there prior to law enforcement? And in the meantime, Ryan and his roommate were posting back and forth on facebook, which would mean they were accounted for? But Nancy (or depending on the point in time, just "another victim at another scene") was reported shot and killed, all prior to discovering it was Adam and not Ryan? And when/how exactly did they discover it in fact was NOT Ryan, but it was Adam? Because I feel like they reported the ID mix up and that Adam was the actual shooter PRIOR to actually getting Ryan into custody, which leads me to believe some other facts lead to them identifying the shooter as Adam OTHER than actually getting to Ryan and him saying "hey wait, I am Ryan Lanza. This is me, I'm not the dead guy in the school".

So many stories and reports changed WAY more quickly than it would actually take to uncover evidence to prompt those changing reports!!!!

There's also the bazillion other things which all the GLP people have been pointing out, but I won't clog the thread rehashing whats been said and pondered prior. The above are just some things that have been on my mind which I haven't seen posted or questioned yet.

I'm fairly local to Newtown, and I'm so aggravated that I don't have more time to devote to digging up more info, or being more involved with you all here on GLP and helping to shed more light on this very obvious "scandal".

They are going to release that report in a few months and it is going to make little mention of the car, other than to say it was Nancy's and he stole it to drive to the school.

And they raided that gun owner's store to plant a FBI background check and the record that she bought one of her guns there, IMO.

It was probably either the AR or the shotgun.

Can't help by being struck by all the sixes and sevens! Is there some significance to that? Why keep repeating their age? Is it a numerology thing, a confusion tactic, or both?

Excellent post. Yes. At what point did they discover Nancy's body. Originally (after they changed the story to say that Adam was the shooter), they were saying that there was an argument between Nancy and Adam. Now they are saying she was killed in her bed wearing her pajamas.

And even if the 6 kids made it out while Adam was supposedly still shooting, how is it that they made it all the way down down the street past all the authorities rushing to the scene?

What about the two people apprehended and handcuffed...one in the woods?

And most importantly, IMO, the car. Rodia's car.

I've spent the last two days trying to sort this out, and the numbers just aren't adding up.

Most reports say that 14 kids died in the first classroom. Earlier this week, the Daily Mail posted the class photo of those kids. I've spent the last two days trying to sort out this story, and the numbers just aren't adding up.

The general consensus seems to be that 14 children died in first clasroom and 6 in the second.

So, in Ms. Soto's classroom, 6 were killed and 7 were found hiding in a closet. That's 13 children.

We were told fairly early that Aidan Licata was able to escape from that classroom and that he held the door for two of his classmates. [link to www.cnn.com] (The story about him holding the door is in the video on that page). At least 3 kids therefore escaped. A women picked them up and drove them to the police station. (in other accounts, the woman drove the kids to the fire department where everyone had evacuated).

So that would be a total of at least 16 students.

So that's some evidence that Ms. Soto had 16 students.

And 16 students makes sense, given that the other classroom had 15 students and Kaitlin Roig, another first grade teacher, also had 15 students. [link to www.youtube.com]

It's Gene Rosen's story that doesn't fit easily with these numbers. And I don't think anybody had suggested that Soto had as many as nineteen students until Rosen's story appeared.

What's interesting is that Rosen said that he hosted 4 girls and 2 boys from Victoria Soto's class, and we can calculate that 4 girls and 2 boys died in that classroom... A total of 8 boys died, and there were 6 boys in the first classroom [link to i.dailymail.co.uk] which means that 2 boys died in the second.

Great post. That Rosen story is a complete fabrication, IMO.

Okay, I was going to start my own Sandy Hook thread, because I have a lead on getting some inside info. Turns out I talked to my mom today (actually yesterday, because it's already tomorrow), and she told me my sister and brother in law know someone who works at the school. And I said to my mom, "so this person must not have been there that day?" And she says, "no, she WAS, she was in the office." But didn't get killed. And I said, "so did you ask them what she saw and how she managed to not get killed?" And my mom says, "no, I didn't want to upset them."

AAARRGH! So I'm willing to call and ask, but I was going to canvas GLP and ask what you want me to ask. But since I wasn't encouraged to start a new thread I'm stuck posting in this random one, which I doubt I will even remember which one it was, plus it's somewhere in the middle so most people won't even see my question. So I'm kinda bummed because I feel like, what if I find out something important?

Ah. I guess I'll just go wrap Christmas presents. And when I call the relatives and find out whatever I find out, maybe I'll post it in a Mayan Doom thread.
