No.

Being dead is like nothing. There is nothing after death.

Get comfortable with that idea and live your live accordingly - like there will be no tomorrow.

I already died in an ER room. Twice. Was dead several minutes all total. Guess what awaited me on the other side...

Nothing.

Been there, saw that.

People seeing tunnels or flames and all of that, that is the brain buffering itself from the horrible realization that it is dying.

My comment was regarding an outer-body-experience (OBE), which is sometimes connected to but certainly not limited to experiencing a near-death-experience (NDE).

Some thoughts/questions regarding your experience: If you were dead for several minutes (and I believe you), and you experienced/reported 'nothing', how are you still here? Where did you physically/spatially reside during those 7 minutes if your physical body & brain ceased all operation? For you to still be here to tell your story, your lifeforce/consciousness/energy had to exist somewhere during those 7 minutes. Did it still reside within your body despite your body terminating all activity? How could that be? If the physiological body was the source of consciousness, and your body 'died' and ceased to function, then by definition you should not be here to tell the story of your experience. So where were you during this experience?

hmm

From this point forward if you at any point in your future had an experience where you found your awareness residing outside of and independent of your physical body - how would you make sense of that experience? Hypothetically - how do you imagine that would influence/alter your perception of the nature of consciousness?

No being dead means you don't know or do or say or think ANYTHING! You sleep and that's what the Bible says, and the Bible is truth! You stay that way until the resurrection of life or the resurrection of damnation to receive your reward from God. THAT is the facts.

Nobody who has had NDE has actually died. Anybody who tells you that, didn't understand the experience. So nobody really knows what happens after you die.

NDE is the same as OBE and lucid dreaming and is for this world, obviously, because only people who are alive report back about it. It is amazing enough in itself to be a worthwhile subject to explore and learn about. Proven scientifically at Stanford University, lucid dreaming holds an incredible promise for our species and everyone can learn it.afro

Re: being dead is like waking from a dream except you don't have a body, you only have a being...
How do you navigate the dream if it is not your dream? How do you find a way to find happiness despite others trying to control the dream. I saw an interesting article saying it was all like a game with different controllers until we actually wake up. Is there anyone who has actually awakened and came back to tell us anything? How do we know what is reality and what is fantasy in terms of "waking up." Have you ever just felt like you want to wake up from someone else's horrible dream?
