| Anonymous Coward User ID: 6826070 12/23/2012 01:15 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | God created the world in 6 days. One day is for rest. Liberals have perverted society by giving people TWO days rest. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 6826070 Idle hands are the devil's plaything. Work 6 days, worship God the seventh. Three days rest just give people more time to fornicate, do drugs, and give in to temptation. Your intelligence level does not suggest we are capable of conversing on a similar level. Please leave this thread immediately. You've got a beautiful mind. Can work with numbers, but totally delusional and can't see the forest for the trees. THAT'S society's problem? Not enough "rest"? Maybe all those unemployed people out there are truly moving us closer to an utopia, huh? You can never be more than halfway into the forest, before you are heading out. And yes, we work too hard. We do not keep enough time open for friends, family, relationships. 1 extra day a week would accomplish that. Dude. The problem is not lack of days of rest. Very few people "work" all the time they're at work. People are just as effective with a four hour workweek ( [link to www.gobankingrates.com] Adding one more day solves nothing. TPTB need the cycle the way it is. Too much leisure time leads to too much time for thinking. Thinking is dangerous to the system. I guess what I'm trying to say is, it's not the number of days that's the problem. It's what you have to do with the days that you have. |
| Anonymous Coward User ID: 24063348 12/23/2012 01:16 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I am trying to convey that the pure mathematics of a 7 day week do not justify it. The answer can be found in an 8 day week. All of societies problems could be solved if everyone would adhere to such a policy, and updated our calendars. The French Revolution attempted something similar, but on a metric type base 10 system. It did not catch on. 8 days a week will catch on! um... uh... what?? |

I am not advocating for the "cycle" that TBTB wish we had. but a new cycle that revolves around how Humans actually work. If we had 1 extra day off a week to think, and that were dangerous to the system, and more people "woke up", would that really be such a bad thing? Or are you just playing devils advocate here? |

Quoting: MHz How about 6/8 and a pay increase? Spend the extra day reading a book, or hanging out with friends, or devote it to your family, or maybe you like to cook and you could learn a new recipe each week. Although I do like your idea, you could offer an extra day a week, voluntarily, for extra pay. Sounds like a great plan to me, if you feel you can get by on that. |

The solution should be to try to get back weekends. In the past people took the weekends off, now people work on weekends and most companies expect worker to be devoted 7 days a week to their jobs. Thanks to technology like email getting actual time off from work is becoming very difficult. |

| Anonymous Coward User ID: 26985611 12/23/2012 05:23 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The bigger problem is the length of the working day, not the weekdays. I believe from my own experience that 8-9 hours of work per day is just too hard, I don't f:ing animals (in the wild) work 8-9 hours a day for food, maybe 4-5 hours, that would be enough BUT every single question points toward the elite and the Matrix. (with demonic entities) Humans were manipulated into slavery and an evil cycle of reincarnation, the elite thinks that Humanity is like a herd of cattle so why would they do anything like that OP says? It's wrong to ask the PTB for some adjustments. |
