Adding one more day solves nothing. TPTB need the cycle the way it is. Too much leisure time leads to too much time for thinking. Thinking is dangerous to the system.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, it's not the number of days that's the problem. It's what you have to do with the days that you have.

I don't have enough $ to keep myself amused with two days off, now you want to increase that burden by making it 3 days, how smart is that?

Spend the extra day reading a book, or hanging out with friends, or devote it to your family, or maybe you like to cook and you could learn a new recipe each week. Although I do like your idea, you could offer an extra day a week, voluntarily, for extra pay. Sounds like a great plan to me, if you feel you can get by on that.

A day is basically sun-up to sun-down. You're talking about keeping the same number of days in a year but just making the days shorter. There would be a slow creep to where a day was starting in the middle of the night and back again. It would be a pain in the ass to keep track of...

OP I like the Idea, but it would end up causing people to work 7 of 8 days, instead of 6 out of 7 days. .875 compared to .857. Not much change, but a change in the wrong direction.

I don't think the solution is to add a day. The solution should be to try to get back weekends.

In the past people took the weekends off, now people work on weekends and most companies expect worker to be devoted 7 days a week to their jobs.

Thanks to technology like email getting actual time off from work is becoming very difficult.

I vote for a 3 and a half day week. Then we will all get to grow old. Like when your 7 you'll be 14.

I believe that the 7 day week was based on the moon. 28 days for a lunar cycle? 28/4 = 7. Could be wrong. Thought I heard that somewhere.

The bigger problem is the length of the working day, not the weekdays. I believe from my own experience that 8-9 hours of work per day is just too hard, I don't f:ing animals (in the wild) work 8-9 hours a day for food, maybe 4-5 hours, that would be enough BUT every single question points toward the elite and the Matrix. (with demonic entities)
