The Lebanese Muslim Association says it has arranged for a Christmas wish to be written in the sky above the country's biggest mosque, in response to reports it had banned Muslims from wishing people a happy Christmas.

Actually, they consider him spawed for Mary the virgin.

According to Islam, IIRC, Jesus is the messanger of God, born by virginal conception to Mary by the decree of God as the Messiah to the Children of Israel. He was given the ability to perform miracles to by permission of God. He was raised up to Heaven upon crucifixion.

Islam is much closer to Christianity that is Judaism, IMO.

And for Muslims to be celebrating His birth with skywriting is only to be expected.

how many of you christians think about christmas as Jesus (as) celebration rather than Santa (satan) celebration... ? what does the decorated tree has to do with Jesus (as) ?

muslims have no reason to wish anyone merry christmas, it's as stupid as wishing jews happy hanukah...muslims dont even celebrate Muhammad (as) birth since they dont know his birth date, that is for them not to worship him as christians worships Jesus (as) in spite of God.

each community its rituals and traditions.

pig eating is also forbidden in christiansim as much as in judaism...great you talk without knowledge.

Christmas tree is an evergreen. A tree that REMAINS green even after all other trees have 'died' in a sense for the winter. I look on it as a sign of the EVERLASTING life that is promised to us as believers in Jesus.

I don't really care about 'pagan' worship. I don't WORSHIP the tree!

I view it as a reminder of the eternal life that we have been promised as faithful followers of God and our belief in Jesus' sacrifice for us on the cross.

Indeed he can ride bike on sunday and car drive on monday...he isnt dedicated to his own group/band but is a vagabond, an errand, lost in this world with no roots.

If someone wishes me a merry Christmas, I take that as an expression of good-will irregardless of their faith, and even though I am not a Christian.

I am still confused - maybe best to never say anything to anyone.
