He was given the ability to perform miracles to by permission of God. He was raised up to Heaven upon crucifixion. Islam is much closer to Christianity that is Judaism, IMO. And for Muslims to be celebrating His birth with skywriting is only to be expected. Cheers, |

Cheers, Jesus being born a Jew is pretty close, lol... it's a familial closeness I guess, rather than ideological. |

Christmas tree is an evergreen. A tree that REMAINS green even after all other trees have 'died' in a sense for the winter. I look on it as a sign of the EVERLASTING life that is promised to us as believers in Jesus. I don't really care about 'pagan' worship. I don't WORSHIP the tree! I view it as a reminder of the eternal life that we have been promised as faithful followers of God and our belief in Jesus' sacrifice for us on the cross. |

I view it as a reminder of the eternal life that we have been promised as faithful followers of God and our belief in Jesus' sacrifice for us on the cross. i guess you see only the bright side of the stuff...the same way christians gives Jesus (as) a specific face and body without any of you seeing him or having a physical description of him "yea but it's a symbol we can use as a root to strenghten our faith". What if he was short hair and chubby ? you have no clue and invent things here and there to make roots out of nowhere just to strenghten your weak faith. That's pure paganism. Since your evergreen was used to be a worship material by pagans, faithfull christians shall leave it aside. You cant be a christian and going in the shit of Santa and christmas tree , that's epic paganism. Is Jesus (as) cradle scene not enough for you christians to remember about the rising of the Messiah ? [link to fromupabove.files.wordpress.com] Has Jesus (as) mentionned anything about an evergreen ? ...why the hell you put pagan symbols on Jesus (as) annoucements of eternal life for believers ? If someone wishes me a merry Christmas, I take that as an expression of good-will irregardless of their faith, and even though I am not a Christian. I am still confused - maybe best to never say anything to anyone. Cheers, |

Cheers, well, extremists would take it as an insult, the others would raise their eyebrows as if an alien came talking to them out of nowhere "who the hell are you dude, you lost your way or something ?". you shall make a great difference between those that cares of the meaning behind "Christmas" and those who care only about the name..."yay merry christmas ! errr wait what is christmas already ? bah whatever, let's enjoy the meal" yea silence is gold, you may hurt someone's feelings without even knowing it. muslims are not meant to wish merry christmas to christians (thus the fatwa), that's totally out of context since themselves dont celebrate that event....
