but what you are refering to is usually represented by a white circle 'above' the head.

the depictions of jesus are usually a sun behind him, that litterally means the sun god. hence the reason why the great artworks are hidden alignments of planets etc with jesus in the position of the 'sun' itself.

i dont think for one minute those depictions are talking about a higher spiritual state or anything noble as that, its simply they want to corrupt the true meaning of christianity.
