Quoting: Zeff "The Christmas tree is often explained as a Christianization of pagan tradition and ritual surrounding the winter solstice, which included the use of evergreen boughs, and an adaptation of pagan tree worship." Muslims believe Jesus was born to a virgin. Virgin Mary is in the Koran. Muslims don't like to hear that God "fathered" Jesus. God (Allah) just says "be" of a thing and it is. Saying "be" to Jesus isn't the same as fathering him and Jesus is not a deity but a Prophet just like Abraham, Moses, and Muhamad. Muslims don't like the implication that God has sex or reproduces--God is singular and unique. To be fair, not all Christians believe Jesus was half god half human (demi-god) or any of that grotesquerie. Most Muslims are normal enough to wish you all a very merry Christmas. Even the ones who aren't can wish peace on earth goodwill to men. Its in the Koran. Look. If a Muslim can't say Merry Christmas to you, he's FBI trying to entrap retarded kids. So tell him, "your mother is a Christian and you are paid too much to entrap retarded kids. Don't you have a law or accounting degree? Get a real job suitable for a grown person." Maybe he will. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 30650575 Brazil 12/23/2012 07:04 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The Lebanese Muslim Association says it arranged for a Christmas wish to be written in the sky above the country's biggest mosque, in response to reports it had banned Muslims from wishing people a happy Christmas. The Lebanese Muslim Association, which runs the mosque, says the comments were taken out of context and the group harbours no anti-Christmas sentiment. Samier Dandan from the the Lebanese Muslim Association says a junior staff member of the association copied and pasted text from another website that the mosque had not endorsed. "From our perspective this is an innocent mistake done by a youth member who's employed by this organisation," he said. This afternoon, the organisation arranged to have the words "Merry Xmas" written in the sky above Lakemba Mosque. [link to www.abc.net.au] /THREAD |

Cheers, Muslim Jesus was not crucified. Islam has been called "the universal Judaism". Both Judaism and Islam say that crucified and resurrected Jesus is a lie. Islam is a little gentler, "but it was made to seem to them (as if it happened)" but just as adamant that it never ocurred. History offers no proof that Jesus ever existed. |
