True. I've given up trying to make ANY sense out of this/these stories.

Its not about surviving forever.

He knew he wouldn't get out of the building, but he did want to take as many with him as he could. Thus he wore body armor to be able to have a shot at taking one or two more.

Yes I know, its sick... but then obviously anyone who takes guns and opens up on mere children isn't exactly the healthiest of people.

I'm not so quick to believe in the stories of these shootings the past year...

But if they are being reported accurately...then I think these shooters are just assuming that's what you do. They see it on movies, in video games. When planning for it, they think of what gear they will need.

They are not thinking entirely logically, like "I will die anyway."

Primarily: it looks badass. So that's probably why they do it. If they really did it.

why do they where masks if they intend to die or commit suicide? You only where a mask if you plan to not get caught or killed.

Where does a civilian get a vest?
