Christmas in November?

It's been a month and a half of Christmas this year with retailers flogging their wares since mid November. I used to enjoy this time of year but a month and a half of Christmas bollox has just ruined my spirit for the day.

Must there be a law to prevent advertisers pimping their wares in a Christmas fashion during November? I could handle maybe two weeks of Christmas pre-sales and crap movies, but a month and a half? Christmas just gives me a headache this year. Retailers and advetisers have lost the plot and ruined what was once, a special time of year.
