Because of these beliefs, women have gained this false sense of superiority to their male counterparts - where as we are taught to believe that a man needs a woman in his life in order to live and to properly validated as a man, we are taught the exact opposite about women. Our parents, friends, and movies are constantly telling girls and young women that "they don't need no man" in order for them to be a real woman. While the media is constantly telling men to get in touch with their feminine side, it's encouraging women to be cold and detached from their would-be partners and treat them like they're simply a passing phase. Men are forced to be more accepting of women into their lives, while women are encouraged to remove themselves from men and have "girl-time", and exclude men completely from activities - even look down upon them if they want to join in.
