When in truth the opposite is the REAL truth! Until we learn to stand on our own two feet and face our trials as spiritual warriors, we will NEVER be truly free.

Why is this true? Because this is OUR journey. OUR test to be overcome. To expect others to carry our load is just another form of control and manipulation.

As long as we expect others to carry us, we will never be free.

Please try and see this as a very deep and important truth that MUST be learned to ever move beyond this physical reality.

But, as always, the choice is yours. This universe is all about choice...

the fact is, the 'universe' is NOT all about choice.

In fact, the future is written in advance. YOUR future is written in advance. All you have is the ILLUSION of making decisions which influence your own and others fate

Precognition is the proof of the above. It only takes ONE instance of accurate precognition to prove it. And there are millions of examples of accurate precognition

So, 'choice' is the illusion which keeps you sane and keeps you living your life


Next: sure, no-one can 'make' you happy, however, a loving other can assist you to like/love/appreciate/reevaluate yourself, with positive results. History abounds with cases of those who had no hope to the point of suicide, yet who turned their situation around via the love and/or friendship of another

Yes, true peace and love come from within, but there's nothing wrong with desiring to share it and desiring it deeply and passionately.

Sometimes new age philosphy sounds a little like what's called dissassociation in psychiatric jargon. All that "being outside oneself and not being effected".

I for one feel inner peace and love, but I also feel a deep need for others and a burning desire to live and feel and think.

Sometimes, this kind of philosophy just sounds like another kind of fear. The fear of others and your own experience because both have the potential to cause pain.

This is pretty much the same conclusion that I have arrived at in my life experience. We can seek relief from our fears & insecurities in the form of external validation from others - but it will only serve to temporarily mask those inner conflicts, not address them. When a relationship ends and the validation ends, do the fears & insecurities not resurface? If we allow our sense of self worth to be defined by a relationship, we run the risk of losing that sense of self when the relationship ceases to exist - which can happen through no doing of our own.

To actually address and eventually transcend our fears & insecurities we need to do the difficult inner work and build ourselves up from inside. Internal conflicts require internal solutions as external 'treatment' is illusory.

Good thread Fibonacci. Some will misinterpret your perspective but it's important that they acknowledge that relationships are not the issue at hand here - but our socially conditioned tendency to look outside of ourselves for the solutions to our inner ailments when they can only be addressed from within.

Unfortunately it seems we can only learn this lesson the hard way.
