So true...and so sad to see what we've become. I've been reading "Coming Apart: The State of White America" by Charles Murray. Its an outstanding book. He takes you back to what we WERE about--how RARE it was for anyone to be on state assistance, unemployment or even borrow from family or friends. We were a people known for our brains and hard work. In the book he quotes foreigners visiting the U.S. and shares their observations of us as people--how LITTLE crime compared to other nations, how SMART we were....

Now all we want is our bailout and daddy-government to take care of us.

We deserve the president we have.

Yeah Obama hasn't given an inch in these supposed "negotiations", and Obama's plan cuts more from Welfare, Food Stamps, Medicare, and Social Security than the Fiscal Cliff does...

Boehner simply has nothing to negotiate with. He is in a losing position. No reason to blame him.

A larger tax base and a serious reduction in federal spending is what is needed. You cannot reduce the deficit by simply taxing millionaires. Increase jobs, increase tax revenue into the government, get people off of things like welfare, medicaid and unemployment would be a great start. Social programs and a serious lack of productivity in this country are killing us.
