Ministry Guitarist Mike Scaccia Dies After Onstage Collapse

I am in agreement with judging a book by its cover type of thing...I went through a few rough times in my life that were reflected in the music I listened to, especially as a teenager. Music helped me cope. The cds I had would have prolly made some people Ministry was probably among one of the "tamer" bands I listened to.

Mike Scaccia was a talented musician, I know that, but sadly don't know much about him or his life, except through the music he made.

"Judgy"? No! Absolutely not! In fact, Scripture is clear we are not supposed to judge those in the world! I (respectfully) think you might be missing the bigger picture. Yes! A man died...as is appointed to all of us! The problem is this man is, right now, very likely experiancing regret that is beyond our imagination! If this guy is where his life suggests he is...and given the opportunity, he would come back from the dead to apologize and tell us to devote the whole of our hearts to Jesus Christ!

God Is: Faithful, Just AND SEVERE!

Lean not on your own understanding and surrender to The Most High God!

We most certainly are supposed to judge, but not to condemn anyone. If we don't judge right from wrong and good from evil, who will?! Why do you think that we are supposed to remove the beam from our own eye first? Then what? Judge rightly.

Was it really the point of Jesus's life and death and resurrection

Maybe we are splitting hairs here - I agree we are to judge right from wrong...but the context I keep coming back to is this:

1Cor 5:12 For what is it to me to also judge those who are outside? Do you not judge those who are inside?

No doubt we are to judge eachother...but the world...God will judge them!

1Cor 5:13 But God judges those who are outside. Therefore put out from you the evil one.

"Put out the evil one." speaks to putting out one from inside the fold!

This passage is *radical* to say the least!

Jesus is not interested in a partial commitment - those that live in a partial commitment to Jesus Christ lie themselves into eternal damnation!

Think about it...here Jesus is saying that those that live in a partial commitment to Him...are not even good enough to throw into a pile of crap! At least a pile of crap has usefulness to it as it can be used as manure!

Perhaps you don't have "ears to hear" - but somebody else may...for that reason, I will preach His Word!
