You can't make this stuff up! In a real court room a judge cancelled a hearing and dismissed a case questioning Obama's eligibility based not on any law, but on a fucking movie about a fantasy character named St. Nick!

It's a case involving the so-called president of the US, yet the judge chooses a movie over the law to make his decision!

The judge - a real judge, mind you - cancelled a hearing for December 23rd to make this premature and farcical ruling.

“This court notes that President Obama lives in the White House. He flies on Air Force One. He has appeared before Congress, delivered State of the Union addresses and meets with congressional leaders on a regular basis. He has appointed countless ambassadors to represent the interests of the United States throughout the world,” Carroll wrote.

“As this matter has come before the court at this time of the year it seems only appropriate to paraphrase the ruling rendered by the fictional Judge Henry X. Harper from New York in open court in the classic holiday film ‘Miracle on 34th St.’ ‘Since the United States Government declares this man to be president, this court will not dispute it. Case dismissed.’”

From now on in this new age of post-American Obamunism, all court cases will be decided by best selling novels and popular movies.

Be prepared to defend yourself from the Green Eggs and Ham argument.

Ferris Bueller's Day Off - to justify school officials spying on students

Big - to justify pedophilia

Dave - to justify a non-elected president

Highlander - to justify sword confiscation

not that those movies SHOULD be used, just that I could see them being used.

I'm a Libertarian Constitutionalist.

I don't give a shit what you do with your own life, whether you make it a success or a failure, that is the outcome of the choices you make, but please take responsibility for yourself and don't make ME pay for YOUR choices and we're all good.

Repeal the 17th Amendment and the Apportionment Act of 1911!

Thread: First steps down the road to a return to the Constitutional Republic that we were intended to be.

Restore the Republic.

Re: Which movies should judges use to decide their cases?
Let me add that the title to this thread is a little sarcastic. Court cases should be decided by laws, not by movies.

When a court case that questions the eligibility of the person living in the WH is decided by a movie line, rather than the law, it strikes at the existence of the nation.

But that is where we are. We have sham elections and sham courts making up shit as they please.

USA RIP 1776 - 2012.

Call me niave, but it stuns me that this ruling by Judge Carroll isn't a major news story, or at the very least getting 10,000 views on GLP.
