Growing up in this day and age.
I'm 20 years old, working a dead end job, no schooling past high school, and currently live with my parents. Typical "loser" stuff right? I currently have NO idea what I want to do, I am very philosophical, interested in the human mind and psychology, yet the only way to success with these is long hard years of schooling. I spend a lot of time on this site, and am very open to a lot of things and am starting to become very aware of the world around me and am seeing that everyone's focus around me is either school, job, or money. I hate this, I could go live on a lake with a girl I love in a small house and be the happiest man alive, yet society makes it so hard because money, power, success is what "really" matters.

All this thinking started about a year and half ago when I got into marijuana, I have recently quit for personal reasons but I do think that either marijuana has caused me to become very unmotivted or it has helped opened my eyes to the real world. The more I spend on this site the more I realize that society and humankind is pretty much slavery to the government or whoever runs this world. I am realizing the sandy hook tragedy was most likely staged or planned, I have always questioned 9/11 ever since it happened, but people talk about the Illuminati and the Elite yet there is no actual proof, there is nothing, so how do I not know that this is just some false belief all of us have so that we don't have to conform to the "normal society life" of just working all day being unhappy...My parents think I am starting to become brainwashed by this site, that all of this is fake, now most people here would say they aren't "awake" but really what is "awake." It's just hard for me to believe you know? It's starting to make me more depressed than I already am, my friends tell me to just go live life stop spending time on here and thinking that everything is a lie...my mom is realizing that Obama is probably evil and I even tried to show her the "truth" of the sandy hook massacre yet she blew it off still thinking that it was just some crazy kid...I'm also on Prozac and have taken it in the past and believe it or not I did feel that it helped me...but who knows this could have just been a "placebo" type effect...

I just don't know anymore and I feel very lost.

Re: Growing up in this day and age.
First, congrats on giving up the weed. It is THE biggest demotivator around.

I like what you said about the small place on the lake. But guess what? If that's what you want, you will have to have money to get it. And maintain it. And success in this country usually -- but not always -- requires a degree. A few people do very well without one, but the way our economy is being "transformed," most folks need a degree.

My suggestion is that you get some free career testing and counseling to help you find some direction. Check with your local colleges (our community and state college offer this). If they don't offer it, check with your county and state offices.

Don't waste years "trying to find yourself." One day you will wake up and be 40 and kick yourself for not doing it when you were younger. It's never too late, but it's much EASIER when you're younger. Also, none of us knows how much time we have left. I tend to think it's not long.

Once you figger out what you want to be when you grow up, do whatever it takes to pursue it.

I wish you the best.

The weed is not the problem, the problem is your need to figure it out. Either go off the deep end and enter the matrix to do your thing or get your cash flow and make money. Take it day to day and stay under the radar. You have never had your life livelihood or family threatened.

My story is similar too yours except I will never give up a natural plant to be anyone's slave. The plant released me from pain medications along with other toxic chemicals they use to keep us enslaved. I was in engineering but now I am into working with energy to transform my life as well as others. After using God's natural medicine, I have cleaned up my entire life. My diet has changed to eating mostly vegetables, fruits. This diet change has created new ideas, energy and ambitions.

Do what you enjoy in life. Money is nothing but colorful paper with zero real value. Look around at the people who are addicted to money and the fake lifestyle put in front of them by corporations and the establishment. You are young and can create anything you put your mind too. Do not fall for the BS college where you learn to repeat what the establishment has laid out. We are moving into a new era. Energy flows where your mind goes. Turn off the TV, Study things that seem outside of the norm. You will find your place in this world helping people instead of competing against them.

The herb can either make you or break you. Your mind and body must be ready for it.

Find out how the world works. When I was your age, I was in the military figuring things out.

The world we are in revolves around money and materialism, just turn on the TV to confirm that. You do need money to have a quality of life. How you earn it is up to you.

Lots of people went to college, took on the debt and are now realising that there are no jobs that they expected to get, which really means high paying jobs. They are on the hook for those student loans the rest of their life and are going to be slaves to it.

Learn a trade or something real that people need to pay for.

Re: Growing up in this day and age.
Firstly, almost nobody knows what they want to be at 20. Almost everybody feels lost at your age. It's part of growing up. If they say otherwise, they're probably lying to themselves.

Try to get off all drugs and see who you are. It doesn't matter what other people think, only what you think about yourself.

Comparing yourself to anybody else is a ridiculous proposition. It's like picking a bunch of leaves off a tree and trying to say which one is the better or the right leaf. Each one has a purpose and a function and none of them are "better" than the others.

This site is good, but sometimes there are people who are just trying to out "doom" each other for fun. It can't be taken that seriously, even some of what's discussed here is very serious, if you know what I mean.

Don't let anybody or society define you or hem you in. That's the oldest trick in the book and a way of controlling you, which you don't need. Nobody does. Control your own life as best you can.

You don't need a college degree if you don't want one. On the other hand you can get five PHD's if that's what you want.

If you really want that girl you spoke of and the house by the lake, then go find her and the rest, then work to make it work as best you can. You might be surprised.

Try watching David dIcke on youtube. Watch his whole seven hour video. Read Jon Rappoport's blog and check out his website then click on "Imagination". These guys have some great stuff to say.

This site is just one site out of millions. Stretch your muscles.

Good luck.

I meant David dIcke, not dIcke.

Lastly, people have spent their whole lives pondering and trying to prove the existence of the Illuminati and determining who the Elite really are. There are many great books out there on these subjects.

No need to have the all the answers. You'll figure out what you believe as life goes on.
