i heard a message from charles stanley a while back about prayer. and the idea of making a petition made sense to me.

it's a binding contract, the promises in scripture. and if we use them in our prayer, God hears them.

Philippians 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

Lots of people are distracted by lots of things, even by lots of religious things, to the point of forgetting about our relationship with our Creator.

i guess nobody needs positive change in their life?

To become something/someone new means letting go of who and what you are now. That takes more courage than a lot of people have. Easier to remain in the status quo.

Yes, seeking positive change requires courage, surrender, and acceptance.

In fact, maybe the fascination with doom is that any real doom will change us whether we surrender and accept or not.

Last years resolution was to lose weight which I did. I lost 28 lbs. Yay!!!

This year I want to be a better person, do good things for others.

I think sometimes I get tunnel vision and forget to pay it forward. I want to change that this year. :)

Like a dragon 2012 indeed had many ups and downs and twists and turns. I have some basic observations pertaining to life and this metaphor: 1) Peaks can often be found in valleys. 2) Sometimes valley's look like peaks. Sometimes peaks look like valleys. Discovering the truth takes courage and the willingness to try something different. 3) The complexity of 2012 excites me because the dragon has taught me to lean into the blows and engulf them with love, truth and integrity. This lemonaide out of lemons mentality has blessed me in the past and continued to bless me this last year. I thank God daily for these blessings. Be safe everyone who is going out tonight!! That being said, last year's resolution was to get through last year.

This year I need to start eating right so I can achieve acendence beyond what I have yet achieved.

Alcohol and cigarettes for me folks.
