Re: Jesus appears to terminallly ill atheist!
The reason why people believe they are seeing god or other such experiences during a near death experience or altered states is because all of us religious or atheist inherently fear death, even those who believe there is nothing after death to be afraid of still mentally cling to the hopes that they will be saved.

Now many of you will think that it's a divine feeling or thought that makes us think that way but it's not really or at least I don't believe it is, it's a natural process that every creature capable of subconscious thought will have because a living creatures main goal is to say alive.

An experiment of sorts could be done to prove this although it would breach many moral codes.

Get 100 or so babies and raise them in two separate truman show [link to www.imdb.com] type of setting, I don't mean the reality TV setting but a closed off from the real world environment where information given is controlled.

Teach 50 those babies from day 1 a completely made up religious story that includes the aspect of saving them at death and teach the other 50 nothing religious, then when of a certain age subject them to a near death experience.

I guarantee you some of the religious group will see their saviour the bread crumb man, where as the non religious group will probably see someone from their life's or something that reinforces the will to live.

The point of that being is that no matter what you believe in it's natural that subconsciously some of us will see things that make us want to hold on and you don't need religious text or belief in god to see it.

Another aspect of this experiment is that to the out side world those people now believe in the wrong god but to them everyone else is wrong.
The same is true in the real world dependent on where you live you will grow up learning about different texts about god with all sides believing their own is the real one. Knowing this how can any of those people say to other that their god is the real one when if they themselves lived with that other person they would believe what they do.

The correct answer is that either they are all the right ones and everyone should live and let live or they are all wrong and again live and let live.

As already pointed out, NDEs, that contain veridical information, shows that the experience was not based on subconscious beliefs and expectations.

It's always at the time of death when Jesus comes in, or it's due to sensory deprivation, drugs, dehydration (Mirages in the desert), etc.

Yet nobody who is healthy, fit, and active ever has a Jesus encounter. You have to question why this is? Why does he only wait to show himself when someone is knock knock knocking on heaven's door? Could he not be a wolf in sheep's clothing after your soul? They say the devil is the ultimate deceiver. Why wouldn't the devil appear as Jesus when you're really ill/sick or there is a large possibility of death?

Most of us would believe in Jesus if he made encounters in all of our life's while we're just having a good day. Maybe he should appear to every muslim, witch, satanist, and Jew!

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 30738753

Regarding past life recall, I want to present two different perspectives, that specifically addresses this.

There's a preacher, that had an NDE, Howard Pittman. He was shown the heavenly realm, and also the demonic realm.

He was shown, that there cases in which a child may be influenced by the demonic.

And he stated, for those who remember their 'past lives', the information is being given by the demonic to mislead others. If one believes in reincarnation, there's then really no need for a savior, or Jesus.

Here's another perspective, this view is not supported by the Bible. A woman was also shown the heavenly realm, and she stated, there's special cases, in which a person, who after dieing, may return to another human body, if their destiny isn't fulfilled.

There's an ambiguous verse that may suggest this:

Revelation 3:12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.

But since this verse isn't clear, and there's another opposing verse that is indeed much more clear:

Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment

Therefore, I would say that the Bible does not officially support reincarnation.

In two earlier posts, I showed two cases, in which Jesus appeared to 2 individuals, who were not ill, experienced sensory deprivation, drugs, dehydration, etc.

Both were healthy individuals.

However, there's quite a few NDE cases now that contain veridical.

These however aren't in a single book, or presented by one single researcher, hence the reason, why one single researcher has not won any 'prize'.

I feel data is available, but it's from multiple sources. A person hasn't yet combined these very best cases, containing veridical info, in a single book.
 Quoting: Anonymous OP 30531093

So it's obviously NOT a subject of serious research.

There's also various other factors. I can touch upon these, but, it's primarily for serious NDE researchers, and most won't even bother to learn these.

As I said, there aren't any.
Not any who make those kind of claims anyway.

Funny how it's always either sensory deprivation or drugs causing these visions of god. Haha put two and two together, man.

Thread: Extremely important information, that most here will ignore and disbelieve :(
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 30531093

The physical and the spirit are anathema to each other. When the physical form is maxed out, tired, fatigued, even dead... the consciousness is more able to perceive the spiritual.

These wannabe debunkers just have no clue what they are talking about. Funny thing is, if they thought about it, most of them have an experience with out of body or disembodied spirits (ghosts, etc) and have personal experience to let them know there is life outside of the physical body.

But, they are too high on their egos, because some person somewhere wrote or said they are superior because they reject God. In their arrogance, they said to themselves, "Yes, I am a superior person, so I too should reject God, since more education correlates with atheism..." and other stupid, errant reasonings.

In the end, it is their CHOICE to believe a ridiculous claim, when there are billions testifying the opposite, that God is alive, because of their personal experience. They choose to believe the liars, the servants of Satan, who say God is a myth, or a misunderstanding of space aliens, or a necessary tool of corrupt authority to control the stupid morasse of humanity.

Ignore them. Say an honest prayer for them, and that is it. Only respond if the Holy Spirit gives you a word for them. Peace.

OP you are very welcome, and I would ONLY state the *truth* of course. I know *others* that would not do so, perhaps even on your very thread. I can truly understand the skepticism, but Yes, what I experienced, and came back to tell was indeed *real* and no fabrication. I have seen God work WONDERS and MIRACLES in my life as well as in the life of others.hf

OP:I am reading that you are VERY knowledgeable of the "NDE", might I inquire if you are a researcher of sorts?

To the poster from the Bahamas, might I ask as to WHY you would not post the specifics of your experience...........

I fully agree with you. I used to believe in reincarnation because I had been duped into believing it by demonic dreams. Each dream was full of accurate detail- and from the exact same time period in which it took place. I dreamed I was a Samurai fighting the system... that I was a French swordsman (yep, swords checked out to 1300 AD France)

One day, a detractor was mocking the reincarnation promoters in a forum. He said, "Ever notice how all the past life recalls are of being a king or a superhero or a high ranking religious person?"

It is true. Something like 80% of these false dreams appeal to the ego.

Finally, I was having one of the French era dreams, at an estate ball. I noticed something wrong with a shadow on the ground outside the window. It rippled. As I looked again, suddenly a fish tank appeared on the ledge.

But, already suspicious, I proclaimed, "This is a false dream" and the dream shattered. All the people disappeared. Standing at the far end of the ball room: a huge red demon with a 2-sided sword.

After that, no more past life dreams. Reason: all fake.

Reincarnation is a deception propagated be devils.

In addition, in my own research of demonology, I use a similar high standard, of specifically looking for veridical info, with legit possessions, to determine, that these entities are genuine, and not merely the product of a mentally ill individual.

Further the study of demonology supports and gives weight to many NDEs, and vice versa.

The boy in that video possessed your coveted 'veridical' information which was confirmed/corroborated by the surviving family members of the deceased person whose life the boy recalled. So if 'demons' were responsible for his memories then it was 'demons' that provided this 'veridical' information which puts your entire litmus test for these experiences in question. If 'demons' can be responsible for supplying this veridical information then you cannot utilize it as you means for testing the validity of accounts.

So which is it?

Once veridical information is established, other factors need to examined to determine the source of the information. Which I already considered.

Also, you jump to conclusions, with what I assumed about the boy's source of information.

A preacher who alleges that 'demons' are feeding children past live memories so that they will cause others to believe in reincarnation and steer them away from being indoctrinated by religion into believing that they were born sinners need a savior to be saved!

Shocking!

He was a shown, the demonic realm and operation in details.

So if 'demons' were responsible for his memories then it was 'demons' that provided this 'veridical' information which puts your entire litmus test for these experiences in question if 'demons' can be responsible for supplying this information that you use to test the validity of these accounts.
 Quoting: ANHEDONIC

Once veridical information is established, other factors need to examined to determine the source of the information. Which I already considered.

Also, you jump to conclusions, with what I assumed about the boy's source of information.

I specifically mentioned the perspective of the preacher, and another also another perspective. Did you already easily forget?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 30531093

Which other factors now need to be examined since we are repeatedly reminded by you that 'veridical' information confirms that all of the cherry-picked NDE accounts that you are routinely posting are 'real' and not imagined.

You mentioned the other perspective to explain past life memories but then concluded that you feel the bible does not support reincarnation. So then do you actually believe that there are in fact Universal truths about the nature of our existence which are not supported by the bible?

If the answer is yes, that will lead to quite an interesting discussion. If the answer is No, then it appears you offered that alternative perspective but do not actually believe it is a real possibility and that would only leave you with Perspective #1 (demons) as your only offered explanation to go with. So according to your response either the bible does not tell the truth about reincarnation or 'demons' are responsible for supplying children with 'veridical' information about past lives to fool people into believing it's a real phenomena. Am I understanding this correctly?

Re: Jesus appears to terminallly ill atheist!
Oh brother, come on. Humans are so easy. Appear as any kind of messiah/savior/prophet form and inject positive emotion. Then humans think "I FEEL LOVE AND THIS ENTITY LOOKS LIKE A HOLY PERSON MAN THEN IT MUST BE TRUTH. DONE!" Just because you die and hypothetically go into another realm doesn't mean you should abandon critical thinking. Although I assume some of you don't use critical thinking here either.

You die and then a form of Jesus approaches you and you automatically want to believe everything it says? Jesus, you guys are easy to manipulate. So form can take the shape of anyone - maybe your family member and then you'd also believe whatever it tells you? Of course why would you question because you FEEEEL love. There is an old saying I just made up now, "Make a human feel love and they will believe whatever bizarre shit you tell them." -

You guys need to use critical thinking - here and in any other world you may journey. Otherwise you're going to chase and worship any entity that emits light and love without question.

Let me first bring up these verses:

1 Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

2 Corinthians 12:2 I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven.

3 And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;)

4 How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.

What these verses to me suggests is that more information may be revealed to some, and I believe may therefore not be included in the Bible.

So then reincarnation may indeed be a real phenomena but it was intentionally omitted from the bible?

That raises some interesting questions.

Why would this information be withheld from the bible?

Who decided to withhold this information? 'God' himself, or the men who wrote the books and the men who subsequently edited and censored the books over the ages?

What other Universal truths about the nature of our reality/existence could have also been omitted/excluded from the bible?

Important questions to consider.

Again, let me clarify from the other perspective, that there's special cases, this doesn't apply to all people, that if a person who hasn't fulfilled his destiny, may return to another body.

If this is the case, that means, that not all children, but only some children, who didn't fulfill their destinies, would remember their past lives correct?

Yes, and this is what Dr. Ian Stevenson had discovered, since not all kids remember their past lives, only some.

Also, what unique commonality did he find among the kids, who remembered their past lives? They died in quick unexpected manner, that suggests that their 'destiny' certainly wasn't fulfilled, which goes back to what the woman stated.

However, here's an important point. We still have evidence for demons, and hell (including veridical NDEs, where hell's existence and a place of eternal torment is affirmed).

So you know have these pieces of the puzzle, in which doesn't appear to fit together, at least by most who believe in reincarnation in the traditional sense.

Going back to this same woman, she believes in both heaven, and hell, but again, in rare cases a person may come back again to this Earth, if they didn't fulfill their destinies.

This view, is tieing many pieces of the puzzle together, and in addition, she was shown more information. Including that all continents were once a huge landmass. There's evidence to support this as well.

So specifically regarding this, I'm still researching this, and I'm not at the point where I can agree or disagree completely.

lol, good way and excuse, to not explain the apparent contradiction and lie, in your Zeus NDE stories.

I can show you the prophecy I don't care if you don't believe me Zeus will smite the you with the power of his son Ichar and will give you up to the lust which you desire

Why are there so many contradictions in the hundreds of NDe's of Jesus

Here is a boy who recalled his past life and could speak different languages and recall info he had never known

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 30531093

Re: Jesus appears to terminallly ill atheist!

 Quoting: WishinForTheMission

Yea this is an area that really fascinates me. Again, there's many elements in your NDE account, that many others had also experienced, which makes me believe this is a genuine account.

Again, I really enjoyed it, thank you.

if he appears to atheists before they die, it seems a waste of time to be a christian.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 30731129

Many times he appears to atheists to caution them, since these atheists also experienced and saw hell.

There's about 7 other cases, in which atheists, saw Jesus during their NDEs. In all cases, the atheists became Christians.

Could be :) I know in three NDE atheist cases, they had people praying for them, two were the atheits' mothers, and the other was the professor / atheist's student.
