I believe the date was May 14, 1948
Quoting: DougNTexas 20426563 On November 29, 1947, the United Nations General Assembly voted 33 to 13, with 10 abstentions, in favor of a Partition Plan that created the State of Israel.... Yeah but it wasn't until 14 May 1948 that David Ben-Gurion, the Executive Head of the World Zionist Organization, declared the establishment of a Jewish state in Eretz Israel, to be known as the State of Israel !
