Pot's Good for Pain
An Oxford University study concludes that pain diminishes when people are high on marijuana. The study recruited a dozen healthy male participants. They were given 15-mg THC tablets (or placebo). Pain was induced by rubbing a chili-based cream into the skin, causing a burning, painful sensation.

"We found that with THC, on average people didn't report any change in the burn, but the pain bothered them less,"

i think you missed the exact point, is that pot makes you have control of you head as in you can choose to ignore the pain.

perhaps your pain is distracting you from thinking clearly?

Re: Pot's Good for Pain
Yeah it doesn't really diminish the actual pain, but you kinda don't mind as much.

It's bloody useless for toothaches though.

indeed, often can cause the toothache to worsen, probably due to the vasoconstrictor effect and the decreased blood supply to the teeth making them colder.. and we probably all know how toothache reacts to the cold lol
