Most people are still living in the dark ages and are therefore abusive, ignorant, aholes. The best thing to do is disassociate yourself from them. Took me awhile to realize I can't help them and they only hold me back.

The only choice you have is to be even more optimistic and have an even better outlook on life.

Don't give in, there are so few of us positive happy people around as it is. Keep strong.

I speak from experience, people will try to bring you down to their level just for the fuck of it. Don't fall for it.

People sure have gotten to be very unpleasant in the last few weeks. The ones I know have, anyway.

It's gonna get better they are just fighting the changes. Those that didn't make the grade are feeling like absolute shit right now and taking it out on others. It will pass.

Natasha. I too am surrounded by this type of people. My former neighbors, employers, even my family has fallen off the cliff. Please pray with fervor, down on your knees and cry to God. Plead for his assistance. He will hear you. The bible warned us of these things. Do not fall into the trap. You are not alone. I have been highly depressed myself about the world around me, our government, my family cracking up, my idiot live in boyfriend. All of it! Please be strong and God Bless You.

I try to spend as little time with people as possible. Love to be alone, hanging with my dogs. Go volunteer at an animal shelter. Walk a dog so very therapeutic . Get rid of your bad relationships. Some people can't be alone and they thrive on drama and turmoil, maybe that's u.

Yes, there are more and more people falling into the trap to the point they need rescue. Your good outlook and optimism is being tested to see if it's genuine. One day those who are trying to pull you down may open their hearts enough to have you pull them up. Please persevere!!
