Life is really a computer simulation!

Weren´t computers invented just recently?

Prof. Gates is making a wishful eap in interpreting those "Adinkra graphs" ( [link to arxiv.org] ) as 'error correcting codes' (ECC [link to en.wikipedia.org] ), which is to him is suggestive of codes designed by humans. Namely, while one can see such graphs (hypercube-like graphs) as ECC which maximize Hamming distance ( [link to en.wikipedia.org] ) between codewords,one can also see them as networks with maximized throughput (maximized bisection).

That type of optimization of some bulk property, such as bisection, is a common feature of physical laws, such as "Principle of least action" [link to en.wikipedia.org] , and most physical laws can be expressed in such form (that's a feature of differential/integral equations).

Or even simpler example, a soap bubble (or a suspended liquid droplet) will take spherical shape -- that is a shape which minimizes the surface area of the bubble for a given volume of the air enclosed.

We may have been led to believe computers were created in the past few decades but that is because we (the flock, herd etc) have all been living in a hypothetical cave and have on occasions been shown what might lie outside the cave. We may have been shown computers as TPTB needed us to do some work for them. So yes, our life may be equivalent to a computer simulation since it probably has had parameters set for all of us and is made up of predictions as to how we will behave and think given that we have only been given so much info !!

This is bullshit to try to reduce the sum of human existence to a bullshit program. Of course, the Universe is mathematical. Of course, there was a first mover. Nevertheless, this is just nonsense. It's the new life is a 'dream' bullshit from Neo-Hippy New Age assholes that brought us such hits as the Mayan Calendar and LSD.
