Regarding the petition, and where it's hosted... it seems to me that it could be a great tool for finding out who may have strong views on guns and where to come looking if and when the time comes.

I think the real issue isn't with what he's actually saying, but rather the way he's saying it. He really doesn't need to resort to insults, shouting people down and cutting people off to get the point across. This petition against a private citizen qualifies as slander defamation and libel because:


* False statements were knowingly made- you need to prove they knew they were lying, or should reasonably have done so.

* The statements clearly identify you.

* Actual damage was caused as a result.

These standards are quite strict. Statements made in the belief that they were true, opinions, or "fair comment", are not considered slander

Piers Morgan needs to start suing the creators of this petition because,this is a civil offense
