What a bunch of whiners--just like the sore losers collecting the secession signatures. They don't like someone's opinion so they want to deport him? How does that fit in with the American traditions conservatives are supposedly defending?

All men are endowed by their Creator does not equal Only U.S. Citizens, nor Only Americans.

Therefore by your assertion you do not defend the U.S. Constitution.. so you are working against it and the people of America.

I have to say I loathe Piers Morgan, he is a deeply loathesome individual, and I can understand American's not wanting him in their country. I think theres very few people here who want him also.

Again, who is *really* paying Moran's wages.

Regarding the petition, and where it's hosted... it seems to me that it could be a great tool for finding out who may have strong views on guns and where to come looking if and when the time comes.

Just sayin'.

I think the real issue isn't with what he's actually saying, but rather the way he's saying it. He really doesn't need to resort to insults, shouting people down and cutting people off to get the point across. I can understand Americans being pissed off with him, but to try and claim he's attacking the constitution is a bit daft.

So although the 1st amendment states you have the right to freedom of expression, that doesn't count if someone is using that right to express an opinion about the 2nd amendment?

I'm confused. I really am confused.

Listen to the video and you'll know why Piers Morgan is a criminal in the UK. Then he lands the lead CNN job and says that Americans should change their Constitution.

The audacity is outrageous.

If an American wants to say we should change the Constitution that's one thing, but when a foreigner gets a media job on your home soil and this happens??

It doesn't matter what country... If someone from China got the lead anchor gig at the CBC and then said we should amend the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.. I would be PISSED OFF.

And that's what it's about... it's not about his freedom of expression.

Agreed but where is the filing in of said charge in the Court of New York City, New York State, or the Federal Courts, where is the Charge filed, or has it not been filed in court and hence a bullshit storm? Until charged in the proper Court, its a moot point.

Remember also that many other Nations have charged in their own nations War Crimes against several U.S. Presidents, and their trails have ended in conviction.

I am a lawyer and I can inject some sense into this situation even if America wanted to deport Mr. Morgan ,it couldn't because it would be a fundamental violation of human rights and it would be a violation of several US laws as well as international conventions . In fact it would be legal for Mr . Morgan to sue the creators of this petition for slander among other major and minor offences.

Right. A lawyer who can't properly form or complete a sentence or spell correctly.

As an attorney, which I'm sure you are (sarcasm), you should be well aware of another part of the 1st Amendment.

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

NOTE: This applies to U.S. Citizens, not foreign nationals here on a guest/work visa.

The person who created this petition is well protected under the 1st Amendment as well as those who signed it. Mr. Morgan is not.

This petition against a private citizen qualifies as slander defamation and libel because:

* False statements were knowingly made- you need to prove they knew they were lying, or should reasonably have done so.

* The statements clearly identify you.

* Actual damage was caused as a result.

These standards are quite strict. Statements made in the belief that they were true, opinions, or "fair comment", are not considered slander

Piers Morgan needs to start suing the creators of this petition because, this is a civil offense

Re: US petition to deport PIERS MORGAN over 70,000... BBC reporter says he will be ARRESTED at HEATHROW!
The petition takes aim at Morgan for his impassioned defense of proposed gun control legislation on air this week. It accuses him of launching “a hostile attack against the U.S. Constitution by targeting the Second Amendment.”
But according to immigration attorney Mark Schifanelli, it would take more than expressing an opinion on television to get Morgan booted out of the country.

The Department of Homeland Security would have the power to start a deportation process on Morgan if it was warranted, Schifanelli said, but even then, there’s no guarantee Morgan wouldn’t win the right to stay in an appeals process.

“He’s got certain rights,” Schifanelli told ABC News Monday. “Even as a foreign national in the United States, he’s afforded various rights under national security law and due process.”

What’s more, Morgan’s supposed attack on the Second Amendment is likely protected by the First Amendment. His speech would have to present “immediate danger” in order to break the law. Schifanelli said it’s unlikely Morgan’s defense of gun restrictions would meet that requirement.

But perhaps the best reason the president wouldn’t deport Morgan for advocating stricter gun laws on television is that he would be guilty of the same crime.

Re: US petition to deport PIERS MORGAN over 70,000... BBC reporter says he will be ARRESTED at HEATHROW!
More than 50,000 people have signed a petition calling for British CNN host Piers Morgan to be deported from the U.S. over his gun-control views.

Morgan has taken an aggressive stand for tighter U.S. gun laws in the wake of the Newtown, Conn., school shooting. Last week, he called a gun advocate appearing on his "Piers Morgan Tonight" show an "unbelievably stupid man."

Now, gun-rights activists are fighting back. A petition created Dec. 21 on the White House e-petition website by a user in Texas accuses Morgan of engaging in a "hostile attack against the U.S. Constitution" by targeting the Second Amendment and demands he be deported immediately.

Subversion refers to an attempt to transform the established social order and its structures of power, authority, and hierarchy. Or more specifically, subversion can be described as an attack on the public morale and, “the will to resist intervention are the products of combined political and social or class loyalties which are usually attached to national symbols. Following penetration, and parallel with the forced disintegration of political and social institutions of the state, these loyalties may be detached and transferred to the political or ideological cause of the aggressor.” [1] Subversion is used as a tool to achieve political goals because it generally carries less risk, cost, and difficulty as opposed to open belligerency. Furthermore, it is a relatively cheap form of warfare that does not require large amounts of training.[2] A subversive is something or someone carrying the potential for some degree of subversion. In this context, a "subversive" is sometimes called a "traitor" with respect to (and usually by) the government in power. Terrorist groups generally do not employ subversion as a tool to achieve their goals. Subversion is a manpower intensive strategy and many groups lack the manpower and political and social connections to carry out subversive activities.[3] However, actions taken by terrorists may have a subversive effect on society. Subversion can imply the use of insidious, dishonest, monetary, or violent methods to bring about such change.

The constitution doesn't apply to foreigners. That was made very clear in the writing of the constitution.

Go back to 1st Grade and learn how to read. The U.S. Constitution even deals with the 'naturalization' of foreigners. But you don't know that because your can't read, but your Cat does know both how to write and type.
