As a lawyer I would recommend Piers Morgan to sue the creators of this 'petition' for violation of human rights of a private citizens and also subversion of international conventions.I would also advise Piers to sue for defamation of character particularly slander and libel.

I recommend you read this if you don't think this has hurt his public image remember there is always a fine line between what constitutes slander and or libel.

The first amendment is important... but you can't use a right guaranteed to you by the constitution to infringe upon the rights that others are guaranteed by it. I would imagine that having nasty lies spread about you might hinder your rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness... mostly the last one.
