picture the space time grid with nothing in it, no mass, no gravity attraction. Place a large body of mass, ie a planet A, in the grid. This mass warps the space time grid causing slopes and streaches in the grid. When another body approaches proximity to this, call it planet B, it is affected by the warping of space time in form of attraction to planet A. This is gravity.
