Quoting: Mrbillybadass I'm sure the corrupted government bought that title from that magazine. Obviously they realize they're losing everyone's blind faith in them. Yup. US is the most corrupt, but it is buried one level deeper than in other countries. Ain't you sheeple ever heard of "Lobbyists?" |

The USA *is* relatively uncorrupt, from the article: "Every year since 1995, the nonprofit organization Transparency International has been publishing a "Corruption Perceptions Index" where countries are ranked--based on data from a several surveys and assessments--from 0 to 100, "0" being "totally corrupt" and 100 being "totally clean." This is the kind of disinformation they are trying to feed us. Quoting: Oodem [link to www.popsci.com] Hell, the fucked up thing is that it's probably true! All governments have elements of corruption. It's just the way it is out there. |

Direct source [USA in 19th] [link to www.transparency.org] Is this what the more recent anti-American documentaries in Europe are spouting now? That none of us have ever left the US? When I lived there over ten years ago I was appalled by the many documentaries about how Americans are so stupid and evil. Back then they liked to focus on how white Americans like to secretly murder black children for fun and other equally ridiculous assertions. Now I'm reading lots of comments from the Europeans about how stupid Americans never leave the country. A person has to wonder why the Europeans media has such a strong need to produce so many television documentaries on the evils of Americans. Oh yeah, we all live off of McDonald's hamburgers and we all own massive gun collections, that's another stereotype many of them refuse to let go of, very ignorant of the Europeans to believe all that nonsense! Well guess what? We actually have universities here, not everyone is an obese redneck, we do not murder black children for entertainment, and there are many other races living here now from other countries. And some of us even travel outside of the US! Imagine that!! |

Corzine springs to mind, as well as MF Global and the Libor scandal, and let's not forget fast and furious. The list goes on and on.............. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 29956779 United States 12/24/2012 01:29 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Well, let's see here. Major banks breaking chain of title in mortgage crisis. Major banks funneling money to drug cartels in Mexico. Prosecuting corporate and federal government whistleblowers. Allowing GE to pay no taxes while taking money out of my pocket. Giving tax breaks to corporations to ship USA jobs overseas. Taxing USA citizen earned income overseas despite the fact said USA citizens use no government services. Engaging in illegal undeclared wars of choice in Asia and Africa. Shielding war criminals from prosecution. Allowing electronic voting machines to decide elections which are easily hacked by anyone with basic computer skills. Stop-loss military BS. Allowing corporate lobbyists to LITERALLY write legislation. Using the national guard to fight wars overseas instead of having them at home, where they belong. Not even bothering to pass a budget anymore, as required by law. Warrantless surveillance of USA citizens. Ridiculous executive orders and signing statements with no basis in law. "Free Speech" zones. Remember when the whole country was a free speech zone? Using USA money to bail out foreign banks. Prosecuting pot users while Big Pharma rakes in the money and banning cheap alternatives from overseas. Using anti-depressants on children, permanently changing the chemistry of their brain. Allowing insurance companies to avoid paying out for things they are supposed to cover, instead targeting businesses with massive fines if they don't buy coverage through said corrupt insurance companies. Refusing to patrol the border as required by law. That covers about 0.0001% of the corruption in the USA. I feel so lucky to live in such an upstanding country. |
