It's hard to be corrupt when bribery has a code word:

Lobbying.

According to a recent Popular Science article released, The United States Government ranks among the least corrupt of all the countries. This is the kind of disinformation they are trying to feed us.

How would a corrupt country let someone acquire such data to come up with that conclusion?

Re: Surprisingly, The U.S. Government One Of The Least Corrupt
The interesting thing is that the corruption index is true on many levels. One of the barometers for this scale is whether or not mail/post is delivered to the intended recipient and other things that gauge how the public sectors in these countries actually work.

Having been incarcerated in the U.S. I can honestly say that my experience, while unpleasent on many levels, was probably better than it would have been in any other country in the world (true: this is an assumption).

Lets remember, especially during the holiday season, that it could be and often is worse.

Let us also remember that the legal/corporate structure, that we here on GLP often recognize to be corrupt greedy and self-serving has been the pattern that has molded the other countries in this survey for the last hundred years or so. These types of corruption obviously are not being considered in this survey.

Furthermore, I think that OP was correct to identify this as disinfo.

However, I am thankful that at this time when I pay for a service in this country I pay for it once and I don't have to bribe people along the way.

I am also thankful that while the divide between rich and poor in this country is still great, that it is still less then in other countries around the world. This means that poor people in this country can generally go to school and recieve basic services. Poor people in many other nations are not so lucky even.
You cannot destroy my vision when you see my vision undestroyed because I am just an undestroyer.

Just because our corruption is massive and at the top of the government...

Much of it is pseudo-legal or done under color of law

Not local officials and police shaking you down when you walk down the street like third world countries...

America is the facilitator of corruption for the entire globe.

They don't need to corrupt.

Besides, if it's doing any wrong they change the law so it isn't doing wrong.
