NY Paper publishes list of CCW permit holders!!

Are or are not Permits to Carry Concealed Weapons a matter of Court File Records, and Public, or Not?

Doesn't that depend on that particular State's laws as to CCW laws and their language?

Oh, like marriage 'license'.. some one alleges you are not married to this woman, they go to the Court house and dig around to see whether or not you are in fact married to that woman they also check to see in the records whether or not that is a divorce between you and that woman. Is that a case of being found innocent until proven guilty in a court law? Perhaps not the same thing exactly as a CCW permit.. but very similar. Again it goes to just how the law in a State is written, in its language as to whether or not CCW are a matter of Public Record. Obviously they are or the Reporter illegally broke into the Court to obtain that information... or someone did.

Strangely enough though, I know few people that don't have a CCW, and they are all liberal Yankees at my office.

I have had a "posted no trespassing, trespassers will be shot on sight" signs around my property for years now; everyone around me knows that tresspassers will be assumed to be nefariously interfering with my livestock and they will be killed.

sorry for my ignorance in the matters, but if you have a 2nd amendment that already permits you to carry weapons, why should you register?

friend and i see yours as well. the point here though, when the government first came up with a way to tax gun owners with a registration fee, the idea that their personal information would be confidential, but that went straight out the window with the freedom of information act.

i fear publishing these names and addresses was sanctioned by government and is an effort to turn neighbor against neighbor. this is all leading to the nightmare that nazi germany was in the 30's.

Someone from New York keep track of the burglaries that happen to people not on that list. People not owning a weapon are now easy targets for home invasion. Need to slap a lawsuit against them.

On the one hand, those people could become targets for anti-gun extremists. On the other hand, people who are NOT on there could become targets for illegal gun holders with robberies and armed burglary etc.
