15,000 people converge on you 'oh, private person', start videoing you, going through you garabage, posting it all on FB, you are now a "Famous Person".. don't you see the illogic of your argument? By such methods you are transformed from 'private person with an expectation of privacy into a public 'famous' person, it happens every day of the week.
Its not really what 'should be' but rather 'what is'.

But yeah, I see your point.  friend and i see yours as well. the point here though, when the government first came up with a way to tax gun owners with a registration fee, the idea that their personal information would be confidential, but that went straight out the window with the freedom of information act. i fear publishing these names and addresses was sanctioned by government and is an effort to turn neighbor against neighbor. this is all leading to the nightmare that nazi germany was in the 30's.Spot-on comment.
