Strikezone 2 on gotham map correlates to new york firefighter deaths

I was studying the gotham strikezone map and noticed that the firefighter shootings seem to correlate with strikezone 2. Near the area of strike zone 2 is a dock called the narrows. If you look at the pictures of where this took place that have been released on cnn, it sorely resembles "The Narrows" located at strike zone 2. Not to mention there are TWO (how many have been shot) firestation markers on either side. Here are the links to the map and a picture of the location. Strikezone 3 is near merchant street.
