Meth lab assplosion?

At least three CareFlite helicopters have been dispatched to an address on Center Street in McKinney, where there are reports of several injured children. Details are scarce, but reports indicate several children were playing with gasoline and fire at the home near E. University Drive.

KXAS-Channel 5 is reporting that six children were burned, and that three are in critical condition. KDFW-Channel 4 reports that the children were camping in the backyard, and that they had a fire going when one of the kids poured gasoline onto the fire, at which point it exploded.

According to scanner traffic, four kids were taken to Parkland Memorial Hospital’s burn unit, one with burns over 30 percent of her body.

At least two of the children are 4 years old; another is 5.

Channel 4 has a helicopter over the scene.

We have reporters and photographers headed to that address. We’ve been told that a public information officer is also headed to the scene, and will offer further details in a moment.
