Re: why are the 13 apostle women not mentioned in the bible?

I'll wait for the OP to post a list of the names of the 13 women before commenting further.

Here you go... the truth can be found in this book in my opinion. There were 10 women, not 12 and he was born on Aug 21, 7 BC.

I believe this is the true story of Jesus the history surrounding his mission on earth.

Peace!

1. The Women’s Evangelistic Corps

(1678.5) 150:1.1 Of all the daring things which Jesus did in connection with his earth career, the most amazing was his sudden announcement on the evening of January 16: “On the morrow we will set apart ten women for the ministering work of the kingdom.” At the beginning of the two weeks’ period during which the apostles and the evangelists were to be absent from Bethsaida on their furlough, Jesus requested David to summon his parents back to their home and to dispatch messengers calling to Bethsaida ten devout women who had served in the administration of the former encampment and the tented infirmary. These women had all listened to the instruction given the young evangelists, but it had never occurred to either themselves or their teachers that Jesus would dare to commission women to teach the gospel of the kingdom and minister to the sick. These ten women selected and commissioned by Jesus were: Susanna, the daughter of the former chazan of the Nazareth synagogue; Joanna, the wife of Chuza, the steward of Herod Antipas; Elizabeth, the daughter of a wealthy Jew of Tiberias and Sepphoris; Martha, the elder sister of Andrew and Peter; Rachel, the sister-in-law of Jude, the Master’s brother in the flesh; Nasanta, the daughter of Elman, the Syrian physician; Milcha, a cousin of the Apostle Thomas; Ruth, the eldest daughter of Matthew Levi; Celta, the daughter of a Roman centurion; and Agaman, a widow of Damascus. Subsequently, Jesus added two other women to this group — Mary Magdalene and Rebecca, the daughter of Joseph of Arimathea.

(1679.1) 150:1.2 Jesus authorized these women to effect their own organization and directed Judas to provide funds for their equipment and for pack animals. The ten elected Susanna as their chief and Joanna as their treasurer. From this time on they furnished their own funds; never again did they draw upon Judas for support.
The more I know the less I understand.

Your god is whatever you want him to be, your desires determine what your god is.

yes, I know the Father's ways are higher than the fallen thoughts of men who wrote the bible and have twisted it, just by the things he has shown me personally. Religions will not work with the new things he is creating.

Your god is Satan. Plain and simple.

Oh really, says who? the accuser?

Isaiah 55:9

9 “As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.

So you can make christianity whatever you want it to be. That's the doctrine of Satan.

Re: why are the 13 apostle women not mentioned in the bible?
To the mindless knowitall who thinks scripture demands women to be doormats..

Did you read my post about what Paul actually taught...in Corinthians the statement about women preaching was a question he was repeating. WHAT, He replied..you think the word of God comes TO YOU ALONE" When Paul said women struggled with him..in the Greek it means they fought, and they endured..it doesn't mean they were making sandwiches for the church picnic.

Jesus said to beware specifically one thing..that is the leaven of the Pharisees,,the leaven of the Pharisees is LEGALISM..and bub you are right there.

I hear the Maranatha singers on the sound system in my living room. Shall I go turn it off for those songs are clearly preaching a message of God's Love..and we wouldn't want women preaching now would we.

Take the tyranny you so dearly love and shove it.

I AM a man..and I wonder how your wife endures what goes on behind closed doors.

1 Timothy 2:11-12

Let a woman learn in silence with all submission. And I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man, but to be in silence.

1 Corinthians 11:3

But I want you to know that the head of every man is Christ, the head of woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.

I hope Christ comes back as a woman this time. That would be awesome.

the new testament is about something that happened 2000 years ago
if it was based on people today it would probably be more diverse

Re: why are the 13 apostle women not mentioned in the bible?
Do you think GOD really wan'ts all these different religions fighting over who has it right? If you were GOD would you allow this to continue on forever?

What man thinks as wrong or right, black or white, is not what God thinks. Man's right is not God's right. Man's wrong is not what man thinks. God waits for man to find his middle (which is Love Divine)

When men can find love for all, including women as their equels, he will find true love and the real meaning of love. God waits there in the middle for the prodical sons and daughter's return to life.

For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. Is.65:17

Re: why are the 13 apostle women not mentioned in the bible?
Thanks to a prior post on GLP I found a book called Blessings of the Cosmos, Wisdom of the Heart from the Aramaic Words of Jesus. The author, Neil Douglas-Klotz, has devoted his life's work to translating the words of Jesus directly from Aramaic, the language that Jesus spoke. Our Bibles are otherwise a translation of a translation of a translation.

This from that book: "The word translated 'men' by the King James version is the Aramaic 'nasha' which means human beings (male and female) or a particular aspect of being human -- the instability of our enfleshed life and its susceptibility to change."

Simon Peter said to Him, "Let Mary leave us, for women are
not worthy of Life."
Jesus said, "I myself shall lead her in order to make her
male, so that she too may become a living spirit resembling you
males. For every woman who will make herself male will enter the
Kingdom of Heaven."

Thomas 114
