Re: Whats GLP's advice for improving memory?
1) Turn off the TV.
2) Don't watch porn.
3) Stop relying on "cheaters" (e.g., programmed numbers in your cell phone). Give your brain a workout by forcing it to recall.
4) Take fish oil supplements and eat lots of tuna.
5) Meditate. Centerpointe CDs are good.
6) Come up with pneumonics and other memory techniques to help you remember things.
7) Work jigsaw and crossword puzzles for brain exercise.

look at your brain like you look at a computer harddrive/ram[random access memory] and central processor

your comp slows up and gets clogged up with irrelevences,

when you think your central proceesor directs the flow of thought your harddrive is the database [mainly unaccessed] and your ram [random access memory directs the selection of your thoughts you want to access

like a computer there is alot of ''spam'' infomation out there.
this spam information has only one purpose - to slow down/clog up your choice making ability.

its not your memory that is faulty its the way you access your thoughts that has issues.

you can ''clean-up'' your ''ram'' by using 2 colours
1. banana yellow [pastal]
2. apple green [pastal]

a wall is better as it covers all your periphial vision but a poster size piece of card/paper will do if you position it in ''landscape'' position

the idea is to stare at the yellow for about 3mins the immediately look at the green for 3 mins

do this 1hr before bed time for about 5-7days then move on to 10 mins for 1 week 1hr b4 bedtime.

within 10 days your ''r.a.m.'' with be ''reset'' and allow you deeper and more far reaching access to your thoughts.

this is not a joke or any kind of sillyness - this actually works

to test yourself for the proof of this you can select any newspaper/magazine open a random page and stare at the centre only for 20secs

then on a sheet of A4 paper write as much as you can in the right positions to where youbelieve things were on the paper.

you will be amazed at how accurite you were.

if you are having exams then do this b4 revision and after revission and be a grade A student.

hope you listenn

Re: Whats GLP's advice for improving memory?
I've been taking Pramiracetam and Piracetam to help improve my memory. Piracetam works by stimulating your GABA receptors, and Corpus Callosum (the communicative bridge linking the two hemispheres of the brain together). Both Pramiracetam and Piracetam stimulate the Acetylcholine Receptors which are used and implicated in memory formation as well as recall.

You can find out tons of information regarding both of these nootropic by doing a few google searches and reading around on forums like Longecity. [link to www.smartdrugsforthought.com] has a bunch of information gathered together already, as well as a downloadable PDF available on their Nootropics Research page that goes deeper into how they work.

Cheers
