Kicking myself as well for missing the good ol days of the under $100 SKS. Just bought mine for under $300, milled, folding bayo and truly one of the current "sleeper" rifles of the moment. I'm thinking about grabbing one of the others my local shop has sitting there. I hate to admit it, but it's built 1000 times better than my WASR AK. They're not even close in quality. I do believe they will rocket up in value when the ban hits. SKS for the win, |

I have 3 factory 26 models from the '60s that are absolutely perfect, and one from 1980 that is not near the quality of the others, but still better than the WASR. For $300 you did good. Hell, back in the early '90s I paid $350 for a case of 1440 rounds of 7.62x39, and in todays dollars that would be about $500. |
