Yea ok your the kind of parent that lets your child sit in front of the tv playing video games and watch violent movies and thats ok right. Me and my whole family go to a local gravel pit, have a BBQ and bomb fire and shoot a lot of guns, including what a dumb fuck like you calls assault weapons. I spend quality time with my children. We have been doing that since my kids were old enough to hold a gun, and they all respect them.

I'm sure as a good father you explained to her than any gun is just an inanimate piece of metal. That it can't on its own harm anyone or anything.

Then I'm sure you discussed that their are evil people in this world and that the responsibility for what happened in Sandy Hook lays squarely at the feet of the person committing the crime, not the tool he used to do it.

I'm almost positive you followed it up with the concept that people need to be accountable and responsible for their own actions instead of placing that accountability at the footstool of society.

Lastly, I hope you reassured her that she was safe with you because you had true foresight and level-headed thinking to purchase a defensive weapon for your home to protect her and her mother from some insane homicidal criminal bent on raping and murdering them if they were sitting ducks.
