STRANGE DENSE fog rolls into Dallas, and Marietta Georgia (Dec.24 th, 2012)

I just drove down East Paulding and it was CRAZY, both my husband and I couldn't see ! Cars driving with hazards on, and it was very strange!

I know what you mean OP - this happened in NE Florida a few weeks ago. It has a super creepy feel.

Fog in these areas is NOT normal for this time of year or any time of year for that matter.

I used to live in Marietta Ga 6 years ago. Fog is NOT, I repeat...NOT normal.

also, having lived in the maritimes, I can tell you 500 feet is FAR to see in fog. I've been in fog where 10 feet is impossible.

Fog can portend many things.

Many things hide in fog including harmful things.

Funny!! However, it reminded me of what one of the plagues of Egypt on the first born , how to fog creeped in low to the ground at first !

I believe that the jet stream can bring mold spores, etc. down and well, this is the case tonight! Something strange was sure in the air tonight and I am NOT the only one here to witness this!

Funny you mention it - we're in Augusta, Ga. and hubby took the dog out and smoked a butt and came in saying - "wow, it's really still outside"

He left the dog and when the dog barked I went to get him and it's foggy and still and - I agree - weird feeling.

60 miles north of Marietta and its very foggy, couldnt see more than 30 ft in front of yourself. Creepy

I am in Chamblee, GA. It is foggy, but not crazy foggy. It was cold and then it rained and now it has warmed up. That adds up to equal fog. Nothing to see here.
