It's just another excuse to spend money for shit you really shouldn't be buying anyway. The retailers of course are counting on you to do this.

Over the years this holiday has morphed into one huge buying orgy and nothing more. If you can't buy stuff, you are made to feel guilty by the stupid advertising that's in your face at every turn.

I got a nice 600$ Danier leather jacket and and carbon Ruger 10/22 and a 30/30. Don't be so quick to judge. I just have a hard time adapting to a random date.

While I agree with not liking Christmas, the other side of this is that, is it because x-mas isn't what x-mas used to be about?

Today it's Merry Corporate day, with people spending even more money they don't have with their credit cards etc.

Shouldn't this supposed day be about giving to the poor, helping the less fortunate, and bringing a "gift" to someone who has been there for you, or just because it's the x-mas spirit of doing it.

In the religious sense, do Christians/Catholics not celebrate Jebus' bday? They do this and help the less fortunate do they not? They do this on a weekly basis on sundays as well, as I am to understand.

So instead of buying a gift for everyone in your family, brothers, sisters, parents, aunts, uncles, grandparents, friends and I'm sure there is more, imagine what a difference if you took all those gifts and gave them to the less fortunate. I wonder what that would do even for one Christmas.

I guess to me, that's what Christmas should be about.

Yeah what a joke, worse part is it's a joke one can't escape (unless you never leave your house) and one has to listen to that awful xmas music in public places.

Why can't we all just show goodwill every day of the year? Guess it's about having some time off from the drudgery of work and school

If everyone could manage a nice little closet grow right before the holidays, they could give out eigths for christmas. Now that would be a holi-day.

I had a nice little indoor hydro hybred grow going for a while. Made most of my friend happy last christmas.
