I've got my head OK my legs ok my hands ok and I am semi-healthy standing on my own two feet with my head in the stars. Bought me a nice big strong umbrella carbon fiber and all with a 2 years warranty - very windy here where I live, strong wind gusts. Also placed an order for all the vitamins and supplements I need for the Winter. There are very few doctors around here - not enough so I need to self medicate a lot and eating organic for as much as I can. You all have a happy Christmas - even without those material things. :-) |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 21000351 lets see op..soooo according to you cos they didnt buy you anything they dont love you? or is it just the prezzies you miss? If its the first..hopefully the amount of money one gives..or gets..or the amount of prezzies one gives or gets..DO NOT REPRESENT HOW MUCH ONE LOVES..as love cant and shouldnt ever be translated into "things" If its juts the lack of prezzies that makes your Christmas horrible..I suggest you visit a hospital emergency room during Christmas..or an intensive care unit during Christmas..or a homeless shelter..etc..thats a bad Christmas..and see how people try to cope.. |

lupa14714 User ID: 23350068 United Kingdom 12/25/2012 05:17 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I stopped relying on other people to give me gifts way back. Mainly because they often got me something I didn't like or didn't want. So each year I always go and and get what I want for myself first. No resentment, no worry and I'm completely satisfied. Now I'm at an age where I really don't need or want anything. Go figure. That is other then a good massage. These aching muscles could do with some time in the sauna and rub down. Quoting: Alexander And just for the record - even though I gave my kids gifts they didn't get me anything either. It is a bit sad when they turn out like that but it's their problem not mine. I don't expect anything from them. You see. Christmas is about loving- not presents. Just hanging out with everyone is the best present ever. i know it sounds ungratefull, but years ago when i was young,my mother occasionally bought me something small,no one else bothered at all,i had tons of hobbys, ufos, book reading, animals etc,but i'd get her hobbies(she does this to the teenagers too now) a pack of tarot cards,an angle card pack,a glass angle, etc,it's all a waste of money.one bf bought me a torch, gloves, compass and alien head,it made me so happy thinking of things to do with my hobby.i try to buy what people would use or thier hobbies, not try and force spirituality on them.now i just stay alone. church of euthanasia. It's all about GIVING not receiving. That's the spirit of Christmas IMO. Not everyone can afford to return gift giving because of personal circumstances. Don't take it personally. God Bless |

I guess I could say that when you give a gift to someone there should be no expectations of getting one back. However, I can see how it would hurt your feelings. ..."The soul is dyed the color of its thoughts. Think only on those things that are in line with your principles and can bear the light of day. I got hem presents. But I got diddly. Worst. Christmas. Ever. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 21000351 My grown daughter is like that, she never get me or her handicapped brother any thing. She just text me and was mad because I didnt get my granddaughter a sins game, I got her a pair of betsy johnson boots. She said now I have to go out tonight and find a store open and find one, that is what she wanted me to buy her, then she wouldnt text me back. Is this ridiculous or am I crazy? I guess this is what christmas is to the selfish I would tell her to take a long walk off a short pier. She sounds really spoiled and unappreciative. Those boots aren't cheap, she should be happy with whatever gift you gave anyway. Wanted to add...I didn't get anything from family this year. Times have been rough and it doesn't bother me in the least. A couple of awesome GLP'ers were very generous towards me and I am so grateful for that and the friendships I have here.
