Which ones will 'see him coming', his disciples or the world resisting him?

commendable that you would want to spend that day with most of your thoughts on him. Do you feel there is room the rest of the year to think about Jesus? And what part of his life story would you want to hear about?

OK, DGN, I may be misunderstanding you, so let me state what I am seeing, and you can correct me if I'm wrong: "You are telling me that the activities of people thousands of miles away and hundreds of years ago hold influence over me today in a way that threatens my standing with God."

If we try to 'Christianize' pagan traditions we cannot be acceptable to God, we are responsible to gain accurate knowledge and avoid demonic traditions that originate with them.
"For God is my witness of how I am yearning for all of YOU in such tender affection as Christ Jesus has. 9 And this is what I continue praying, that YOUR love may abound yet more and more with accurate knowledge and full discernment; 10 that YOU may make sure of the more important things, so that YOU may be flawless and not be stumbling others up to the day of Christ, 11 and may be filled with righteous fruit, which is through Jesus Christ, to God’s glory and praise." Jehovah's blessing requires accurate knowledge of his will, not of our own righteousness, it's what my threads are intended for, helping as many as possible (if any) to qualify;
"That is also why we, from the day we heard [of it], have not ceased praying for YOU and asking that YOU may be filled with the accurate knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual comprehension, 10 in order to walk worthily of Jehovah to the end of fully pleasing [him] as YOU go on bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the accurate knowledge of God, 11 being made powerful with all power to the extent of his glorious might so as to endure fully and be long-suffering with joy, 12 thanking the Father who rendered YOU suitable for YOUR participation in the inheritance of the holy ones in the light."
