I've had to recycle everything already, its only two weeks old. It won't update globalincidents map, and the clock lags behind. I don't like how it runs explorer in the background while I'm on the desktop with google. The whole thing feels STUPID Spread the word, change the collective conscious...... But you can instantly turn that off and make it look like regular windows 7 or xp. So really its just a windows 7 update with a new theme. |

There you can delete you entire hard drive or just certain partitions if you want.(delete all partitions if you want a clean install, then hit next and it will install windows 7 to the clean hard drive. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 8410120 United States 12/25/2012 06:17 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It's easier to use a gparted cd to resize the root partition for windows 8, then do a custom install in win7. The win8 bootloader will detect it automatically and you just select from a list. (a two item list) gparted is necessary though because newer windows8 boxes use guid partition tables and tools designed to work with master boot records are incompatible. Windows sucks, though. Don't use it. |

Would the computer boot up? Or does it go to some menu and ask to boot from a CD? it won't boot with a blank hard drive you may need to go to the BIOS Settings and tell it to boot off the DVD, but you're going to have to do that anyway arem't you? |

You will need to boot from disc like the second guy said, on my pc I can press one of the f keys to get to the boot priority menu when I turn it on. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 4239460 Sounds simple enough. cheers. |
