I too, doubt that today would be the actual date of the birth of Christ, but I celebrate and remember his birth, Emmanuel, God with us.

Because of him, I have hope to enjoy an eternity free from sin and death, in a world so much richer and beautiful than what we now call home.

Thank you, Lord for your life, death, and resurrection. Thank you for your victory over the enemy, and thank you that you will come again to judge the living and the dead.

Ever see a firefighter show up at a house fire without their turnouts on? (Perhaps only those who are judgmentally impaired.) In the same way, I would not want to find myself dead and naked before the throne of God without the righteousness of Jesus Christ by faith.

I would rather live my life seeking to love and serve others according to the will of God and be wrong, than to serve my rotten flesh and be right that there is no God. For me, that would be a total waste.
