It's 7:15 here and I've showered and made coffee while the husband trimmed up a roast. We are still waiting on the kids to rouse, too.

Yeah, there's sort of an arc in which the younger they are the earlier they wake up. Once they hit about 11 or 12 you have to wake them up and then when the teen years hit it gets a bit uglier. We tried waking my visiting 22 yo up yesterday (we had to have Christmas a day early) at 630 and she got so mad she left. Stormed right out in her PJs. True story. Who gets mad at having to get up for presents?! Ever the opportunist, her 15 yo brother inquired as to whether he liked any of her presents and if so could he have them.
